Mine is Denman thumping Kauto Star in the 2008 Cheltenham Gold Cup. Many didn't believe Denman could beat defending Champion Kauto Star, including Ruby Walsh who had the choice to ride either, and chose to ride Kauto Star. Kauto Star was made odds on favourite aswell, so many where writing Denman off. I was always of the opinion that Denman was by far the better Gold Cup horse so lumped on a 5 figure sum in what was one of my biggest ever bets. Kauto Star always had the better turn of foot, so Denmans task was to front run and run the finish out of his great rival, and that's what he did. Turning for home he was 10 lengths clear, of a tired and beaten Kauto Star, who just could not keep up with him. It was one of the greatest front running displays by a horse that I've ever seen. Denman ran so hard that day, that they discovered a heart condition shortly after the race, and he was never quite the same horse again. But no one will ever forget how great he was on that day
