Criminal activity doesn't affect the ability to receive council housing, whereas race/religion does (ie you are more likely to receive a council house and have your rent paid for you if you are a *****phile worshipper like Anjem Choudary than if you are a law abider like most people in Britain)
You really are a clueless little twat, aren't you? The point is that the parents are both in the same boat, with regards to their children's actions, but one will face punishment and the other won't. Both should be held responsible or neither should. Use your brain for once, you mindless prick.
What about the delinquent parents who have ruined their bright childrens prospects by being looters then hotshot? You surely would have seen the M.E.N tonight? How many of them were kids? None. it's never as black and white as it seems.
Read other posts - the families that are to be evicted are the ones that are a menace to their area and have council housing. So the local council want to evict them anyway for anti-social behaviour on the estate but as the riots happened on high streets etc it wouldn't usually affect their housing it will now. If a young lad got done for rioting but its his first offence and the family have not had trouble before they will be safe. Nothing to do with rich and poor.
Get a grip mate, nice of you to highlight one sentence to emphasise your point but you know that isn't what I meant.
I've read the other comments, but nothing in anything that Cameron has said indicates that any of that is accurate. Nothing that Jordan had to say was about that, either.
If you have one kid and that kid is going to prison you will get evicted anyway or rehoused to single bed flat and let a law abiding family move in to your home/2 bed flat.
Despite not actually doing anything wrong or is this only for families who present a problem already? If the former, then how would the millionaire be punished equivalently, given that their child has probably been given every advantage in life and yet still turned out a total scumbag?
Any family in council housing that has one child and that child is imprisoned leaving parent/parents only. Why should a 40 year old woman or 40 year old couple be living in a 2/3 bedroomed house/flat while a family of 4 have no suitable housing as the local council only have 1 bed flats available? I know a few couples with young children who have been on the council list for years while a lady over the road from me lives in a 3 bedroom council house despite the fact her kids left years ago!! Its about time the councils got to grips with this.
Cameron's ideas are knee jerk bullshit rhetoric - throwing families out of their homes is a ludicrous plan as it will create more problems, social, financial and ethical. It will push people further into poverty and create more social unrest, at further cost to the taxpayer. It's just short sighted and counter productive reactionary avoidance of the underlying issues.
