He'd be way to expensive imo. He'd be brilliant, but way to expensive. Once we have a good solid squad I think we can maybe buy one expensive player a window, but we need to many this time to spend a massive amount on one player.

M'villa would be a good investment but I am sure that Big Sam has ear-marked the players he wants and will have spoken to the Ellis Shorts 'Bean-Counters'.
There's a young Scottish international wing back at Hull called Robertson who would be a great investment but rumour had it that Man U had tabled a 15 million bid (can't see it myself but the lad is good). If Derby don't make it to the Premier League there will be a lot of interest in their young talented m,id-fielder Will Hughes and I believe Everton have tabled a 10 million offer.
The whole aim of the game is GOALS and we need someone to work with, off and to Jermain Defoe.
We can speculate all we like but I'm sure that Big Sam and his team have the players in mind and will be ready to table offers.

Like every Summer transfer window, there will be more names thrown around than we can shake a stick at, and we'll all be begging for the close of the window in August and to just get on with the footie. But this window I have the utmost faith in Sam getting it right. More so than Di Fanti, or Congers. We'll have some high earners off the wage bill, and hopefully have shifted some of the ****e that's due to return soon from loans.

Robertson was thrown around here last year aswell, he does look the talent. Will Hughes has alot of hype around him aswell. We need to be looking for players like this - young, hungry, athletic, and good technically. No more veterans, although we will need some in there for experience and to steady the ship/calm the nerves. BSA will get it right. He has a proven track record. Look at West Ham now after they went down and he brought them up. He built the core of that team, Bilic made a few good additions and pushed on. Would love it to happen to SAFC aswell.

I hate all this planning for our next season in the Premier League when we are not yet safe. Its just asking for a huge custard pie laced with an anvil right in the kisser come this Sunday.

I know what you mean but the players won't be complacent and that's the important thing. I don't actually believe in tempting fate as I don't believe in fate as a concept.

I hate to tempt fate, but there's never been a better time to secure the 3 points needed. Everton are utter garbage at the minute and we are on a high, even a point would do me and go into the last game against Watford knowing exactly what we need to do to survive.

Without sounding complacent, the mags and canaries need to win all 3 of their combined remaining games for us to go down.

I just don't believe that's going to happen.

    Do they
If Norwich, for example, win their 2 and 'Spurs win the other one, will we not go down if we lose ours

No they don't, Norwich could lose both of theirs and you could still go down, mathematically.

Only if the mags win their's and we lose both of ours.

I obviously didn't explain that clearly did I.

    We're not getting ****ing relegated.

    Is that clearer? <laugh>

No ifs and buts, beat Everton and we're safe. Our destiny is in our hands and we have to capitalise on that.

Spurs are coming back from two devastating results for them and they will want to finish the season on a high. I honestly believe they will run rampant over the bar-codes and slaughter them 5-0 or so which will be game over, BUT, a 2-1 win on Wednesday against Everton will make this irrelevant.

Agreed 100% - but let us, Sunderland finish this on Weds night so that we can all sleep on Saturday night knowing that Sunday's game is irrelevant.

I like Jordan Ayew at Villa, and he wont be as expensive as his Welsh Bro, Benteke would be an awesome signing imo, but we need competition/improvement to our defence as well, Big Sam will have his ideas on this and I have faith in him sorting it out, the last window was a real eye opener, and if they help keep us up, probably our best ever.
