Really starting to dislike Henderson as a player he's good but he's on a yellow and taken a dive and waved imaginary cards. Should've been sent off and constantly whinging on. Fellaini just got booked in a similar method to Wes Browns ending off last season!!missed the player and the ball though and Clyne dives to get him booked!!

Hadn't given the Europa Cup a second thought. And I guess I've been a little busy recently.

Just got home and found out Pool and Manc's were drawn against each other. Who knew?

We've been hammered by the better team on the night, no complaints from me. Tactics were wrong from the start, if LVG was gonna **** about I'd much rather he played a load of youngsters in this stupid competition.

Aye . . . . competitions are often 'stupid' when your team's not in them <whistle>

I've said that about this competition from day zip mate, I've never once bought into LVG's **** that we can go and win it either. Dortmund systematically dismantled Spurs earlier on and they should walk to the final and pick up the trophy.

It is always nice to beat your rivals but that 2-0 just didn't hurt as much as a league defeat.

They have destroyed the thrill of the European competitions by having too many games.

Platini and Blatter have ****ed every major tournament mate. I still would like to be in the CL but the rest, well they're not worth a wet fart.

They merged three tournaments into two and then added even more teams to both tournaments...I have lost interest in both to be honest..

    I didn't realise that, like :emoticon-0145-shake . . . . you've obviously got more interest in it than I have :emoticon-0136-giggl

Maybe we'd have more interest if our team were anywhere near as successful as 'United or Liverpool . . . . and Terry's probably just a bit bored with The Europa League because he's used to his team regularly being in a better, more high profile, competition :emoticon-0100-smile

They sold football's competitive soul to sponsors by introducing leagues and including tinpot countries in their laughable effort to "globalise" football as a spectacle whilst at the same time giving every country in the world vote and equal money for football development.

Secured votes for them at FIFA so they could make a horlicks of the world cup by extending it to 40 countries.

How long is their ban? 6 years is it?

I might be a bit more interested in these competitions if we were involved but that`s not likely to happen any time soon.

Coming to the OP, I don't mind watching football from anywhere at any level. I have lived among German football so can enjoy that but the French Ligue is a world of its own. They are becoming like us through rich owners but they buy into fashionable clubs only and PSG is the glaring example of wanting a plaything in the hope that they will win the ECL. Spanish football is loaded with talent and different styles and for me the team worth watching is Atletico Madrid as their style and effort is typical of the way Simeone approach playing the game.

It is worth watching other countries but with an open mind about level of abilities as two well matched teams can turn in some canny games.

I like Scholes comment after the game. His go at Arsenal made me laugh.

"Manchester United should be competing to win the Premier League and Champions League every season," said Scholes

"They have spent £300m and they are sixth in the league. They have ended up in the Europa League after failing in a poor Champions League group. They should be competing with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

"I hope none of the players comes out saying sorry on Twitter. Stop talking on social media and start playing.

"The last thing I want for Manchester United is to be happy with finishing fourth and winning the FA Cup. That's what Arsenal do."

I saw the goals last night and thought the first one was never a penalty and Henderson was offside leading up to the 2nd..
