I'm guessing there won't be much interest in this game from Saints fans! but nice to see James Milner score - he seems to have got a few more games this year and is playing well. (and got a feeling this competition has been called the Champions League since about 1992 )

the actual cup was being displayed here in the town square on a double decker bus (so the locals could have their picture taken with it) - that was the day Serbia played Albania - possibly the only time it will be seen in Serbia for a while!

I was going to say there are no other English players playing tonight who he could be watching - then I remembered the full football league program. What a shocker he hasn't bothered. Shows how narrow minded he is as a manager. Surely he would get more benefit out of going to a Championship game (can't think of which have the most promising English players)

That said it is only really U21s who are allowed in the championship and still be considered for the national set up
