Chelsea v Ruben Tottenham v Basel Fenerbahce v Lazio Benfica v Newcastle YESSSS Nothing's easy with Spurs but we've had the toughest draw in the last 2 rounds so hopefully we can do a job on these guys without relying on a late goal.
I'm just so glad to not have to go to ****in Italy again...so much more hospitable the Swiss! ...be nice to go somewhere and not get a chair leg over the head and a banana thrown at us.
Basel has a similar 37k capacity stadium to us with renowned passionate fans, so the return leg will be tough. And the colours and club badge make them look worryingly like Barca. Hopefully they won't play quite as well.....
Hopefully the team don't think "Swiss team? Easy!" - we all remember what happened last time that happened...
So, we face Chelsea 3 days after they will have had to travel to Rubin!! For once we appear to have got the better of the deal. Hope we make the most of it!!
Hope there would be no danger of that (but you never know!) - their recent record in the CL is impressive and deserves comparison with a lot of so-called 'bigger' names.
Unless they beat Utd in the FA Cup, otherwise we have a rest that weekend and they have to fit more games in. Win-win.
I'm sure they'll greet them with the warm cordiality for which Turkish fans are known, and turn a mild, forgiving eye on Lazio's racist antics, not to mention crooked referees.
