Looking at the line up for Russia, I believe Hodgson has to go if we are to ever see any development in our side.
    No Wilshere
Rooney in midfield (he is no midfield player, and barely deserves a place in the side)
    No Vardy (NO VARDY !!!)
    Ali on the wing
    Lalana (wishy washy and weak)
Sterling (no finish and no cross)
You might also say, no Stones = no idea of how to play from the back
    GIVE ME STRENGTH

PS Well done Wales - you can be proud

Done what was needed of him though, plus name a team that would not want him in?

I now feel he will be the scourge of England on his next game .. his mercurial ability was undoubtedly lacking tonight but he is only going to improve

Walker, Sterling Delli and Lallana stood OUT ... Rose, Dier and Rooney ( first half) ... good, whilst Kane, Smalling and Cahill DID THEIR BIT

WILTSHIRE did ok for Rooney but thought Milner was a bad choice for Sterling IMO Wroy GOT THAT WRONG AND IT COST US

well got that right .. although not in the contest as I did my predictions a month ago ...and they could nt be changed any way from what we have seen .. Wales need to score at least 2 goals more than Russia 2-0 would be good to qualify
luckily Russia play Slovakia next and 0-0 or 1-0 to Slovakia would help us ...

Personally thought that Sterling was a weak link - lots of running into nowhere! Other than that, the most enterprising England performance I've seen in a long while!!

Rickster - you go on about Vardy, you may well be right.
Others mention Sterling who is vastly overrated, I wouldn't pay him in washers.

But for me it doesn't matter who plays front middle or back.
England have one overriding problem - we can't defend.

Should have put the game to bed in the first half, (should have been 4 up) so many chances missed. Thought Sterling had some good runs but his final product was terrible.
Thought Kane had a very poor game by his standards and should have come off for Vardy in the 70th min, along with Sterling and Rooney. (Rooney did well in first half).
Thought Wilshire did well when he came on,
Overall. first half, we looked bright without the finishing, second half, thought we looked tired and out of ideas..Could have been worse I suppose!!

Yeah, why was it left to Rose to jump up with someone that's 6ft 5" ??

    ABSOLUTELY MY POINT
SORRY . .. but had we scored just 1 or 2 goals not necessarily laid on by Sterling ???? his runs had the Russia side occupied for quite a bit of the game and while we are going forward they are not bothering our goal... so he was not piss poor, just did not have the exacting final touch ...
at 2 mins of ET you would have thought this would have been addressed, what will it cost? 3 teams can be top and wales is favourite?

All the more reason why we need to turn into a goal machine

the one about this competition is the lack of goals so far, I know it is only a few games in but no one has won by more than the odd goal ...
ENGLAND MAINTAIN their 100% record in this competiton..never won their opening game!
a draw against Wales .. IS A MUST WIN AGAINST SLOVAKIA .. ..

interestingly Wales and Northern Ireland are still in with good chances however my main bet for 2016 is rep of Ireland

    4 bets
1 of £50 @9/1 beaten in qtrs. 1 of £50 semis and £25 to win it at 150/1 lose it at 66/1

from 1-0 up to 1-1 really p****me off still time

well this tournament is beginning to show up the " more status quo" like mantle that has descended on European football . If national leagues were only able to play say 2 non national players we would likely win the euros and maybe even get to final of the world cup ..

the most worrying thing is the Olympic ban ... it is a good job we played them first.
however I think with the likihood of them going out they will wish to screw up our game, and with Wales being UK I fear for that game as well....

Nah, if it was City, we'd have contrived to lose 2-1 !
