We must qualify for some kind of award for consistently being so far below any kind of expected level of performance in tournament after tournament with manager after manager. This is absolutely the norm as far as England performances are concerned. They lack any kind of thought process rather like so many of our electorate.
"Captain Birdseye, Rick Stein, John Dory, Captain Haddock, John West - Your boys are getting one hell of a beating!"
How Hodgson thinks this team is due to give someone a thashing I don't know. I'm probably going to surprise no one by sticking up for Sterling. He's the only wide player in our squad that actually gives us any width. He knows when to stay wide and when to bomb inside. That's the reason he gets the ball so often, he takes up good positions. He's clearly out of form though. If only there were some other wingers in England... y'know, someone like Townsend. Think we're heading for another "throw **** at the wall and see what sticks" from Hodgson at half-time. Rashford, Vardy and Wilshere on for Kane, Sterling and Alli is my bet.
Thats because he's the only winger in the squad! Everyone else is a 10 or a striker! Imagine needing an inspirational team talk and Roy is in the dressing room
I remember playing football management games years ago and this would happen. Hodgson's forgotten to nominate his set-piece takers, so Kane's on free-kicks.
It seems to be infectious. Passing is all over the place. Out of creativity, out of ideas, and most probably, out of the competition!
