Former England captain Rio Ferdinand and French World Cup winner Thierry Henry are among the TV pundits for the BBC's coverage of Euro 2016.

They will join BBC regulars Gary Lineker, Gabby Logan and Alan Shearer for 26 live matches.

Gianluca Vialli, Jens Lehmann, Robbie Savage and Neil Lennon are among the other former internationals who will appear on TV and Radio 5 live.

The BBC Sport website will have live text, video, and in-game highlights.

This will allow readers to watch the goals from BBC games as they happen on desktop, tablet and mobile.

Former England midfielder Frank Lampard and ex-Germany striker Jurgen Klinsmann will also make multi-platform contributions across the four-week tournament, which starts on 10 June and is being hosted by France.

The BBC Sport website will also feature a 'Euro 96 Rewind', with full match video and text coverage.

Readers will be able to personalise their Euro 2016 digital service, use the Euro 2016 Predictor and Team Selector tools, and enjoy a Euro 2016 catch-up video, available to download via BBC iPlayer.

Lineker and Dan Walker will take social media users behind the scenes of the Match of the Day studio in the heart of Paris with Facebook Live, while ex-England midfielder Jermaine Jenas will front the BBC Sport Snapchat account.

On Radio 5 live, Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates will head up match coverage alongside Caroline Barker and Walker.

There will also be three special TV documentaries aired before the tournament.

Director of BBC Sport Barbara Slater said: "As excitement builds towards one of the most anticipated sporting events of 2016, we are delighted to bring audiences closer to the heart of the action than ever before with unparalleled coverage across TV, radio and enhanced personalised options across our digital services available 24/7.

"This summer's Championship will bring the nation together to witness unmissable sporting moments, captivating audiences of all ages on football's biggest stage."

Rio Ferdinand must have got up late, he's forgotten to put his socks on.

Danny Murphy is the best pundit, like Jermaine Jenas and Kevin Kilbane.

Well I thought we would be safe, but I don't hold that against him. I find he at least talks sense unlike some of the others.

Turn the volume up if you want passion. Or listen to Collyweed or Savage- 'passionate' ****s both of em.

Personally I rate pundits on insight.

I can't be doing with Danny Mills as a pundit. He has a bad habit of doing a sort of exasperated exhalation before anything he utters, no matter how mundane, as if to add weight to it. Like it's a pain for him to say it - he doesn't want to say it, but he's reaching deep to find the guts to say it anyway, because it's so important or dramatic.

    It never is though.

    And it's all the time.

    Bad habit, not necessary.

Does it now take 11 people to watch a bit of football and talk about it? It's not that difficult a job is it, surely they've just got that lot together so they can win the broadcasters world cup 5-a-side tournament.

I hope they have Shearer and Lennon together. Linekar would be sure to mention the incident.

Its a piss-poor line-up, there's only Jenas, Keown and Murphy who offer anything. How does Chris Waddle still get a gig?

I'm sure the vast majority of these havent watched another domestic league in years and considering a lot of players arent premier League based I'd say it's important.

What does Stewart Robson have to do to get a gig?
