.... takes place at 5pm... Pot 1: Spain, Netherlands, Poland*, Ukraine* Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland The only rules are that Poland are in Group A, and Ukraine in Group D, because of location. I've just done a 'fake' run through of the draw, and come up with: A: Poland, England, Portugal, Czech Rep. B: Spain, Italy, Croatia, France C: Netherlands, Russia, Greece, Ireland D: Ukraine, Germany, Sweden, Denmark Not too bad a draw for either England or Ireland, if it comes off. best case for England would be Poland, Greece, Czech Repuublic, whilst worst case would be Spain, Portugal, France, I reckon. Any thoughts on who you want to play / avoid?
sadly i must admit that i couldnt give a monkeys tit about what pot, what formation, what team selection, what manager etc etc..Gave up on England years ago.
Guys, i have a feeling in my water that Ireland and England will be drawn in the same group. You heard it here first guys
Well, we are pure sh**e and whats better, is that we know we are We are going to the Euros to drink Poland dry.
can save you followers of england a lot of time and heartbreak Cerny style-we will play awful,we will struggle to qualify,we will pick the likes of Terry,Fat frank and sick-note gerrard then get knocked out at first hurdle..
You could be right.....on the other hand....you could be wrong. Still, you won't know cos you won't be watching.
I have a feeling we'll get the Robson / Venables effect. Capello knows he's off after this, so we'll do well. Same as Robson did in Italia '90, and Venables in Euro '96. Just not quite well enough to win and keep him in a job.
I still live in hope that one day we will have a real manager and not a "yes man".Hopefully an English Manager that picks a "team" rather than the same old players that have done zip in an england shirt!..
International football in general has gone down hill a lot recently. Last years World Cup was abysmal save a couple of decent games. Negative tactics seem to be at the root of it all. Most Country's are content to sit and play it cagey rather than going at the opposition and trying to outscore them. In fairness to Deano, you couldn't compare Premier League games to International matches in terms of excitement and drama. At the very least it gives us some Footie to watch during the summer.
theres passion in abundance in the Premier league and very little shown in an England shirt..Im not expecting England to win anything but i sure as hell expect them to bust a gut and wear the shirt with pride!..I would get some young blood in the team and cull the old tired out fear-ridden players, but alas we all could name who will be in the squad.
