Seeing as he's available, I wonder how many of us are open to us making a bid despite his age. To be honest, I'm completely clueless as to his recent form though he started great under Benitez. All I know is for all the talk about the defence, keeper and defensive midfield positions, a striker is a big priority as well. Lord knows I'd love to see us tinker more with formations including the classic 4-4-2 with more bodies in the box rather than tapping it around the edge of the box.
Still world class, a natural goalscorer. He might be 30, but to be honest, even a slightly slower Eto'o would still add bags to our attack. Our problem has not been getting the ball into the opposition box, it's been having someone there to put it in the net. I still think Eto'o has got 2-3 good seasons in him and if we could get him for around £10-£15m then it would be a great deal
