    Was a good player a few years ago, but to be honest i lost track of him after that !

    He had a massive gambling problem and blew millions.He had a breakdown and was suicidal,was lucky enough to get into a place to get the treatment he required.He seems to over it now,but purely on football alone i personally think his best days are long gone.

    Stoke fan with regards to Etherington...
    Suicidal? Nope, just ran up a few thousand in gambling debts, these have since been paid off!
    NOT his best season last year, by a long way BUT, that was mostly down to injuries and player's kicking him every other week.
    Only today our local rag he's saying. " I'm looking forward to another season with the Potter's, and want a top 10 finish.

    He does have a fantastic left foot and he's STAYING at Stoke City.

    Have a great season Rangers <ok>

    Don't want him mate you can keep him.And i can quarantee you he lost more than a few thousand in gambling debts,that is if his autobiography is to be believed!

    Potter i'm glad his troubles are all behind him,gambling is as bad an addiction as drink or drugs(i know first hand)it's just alot of people don't see it that way.He was a fine player a few years ago,it's just i don't believe we need another player in his position.Now if we were linked with Huth i'd be a very happy bunny,just the sort of uncomprimising Centre-Half we really need!

    Would be a good signing IMHO. But with all the wingers we have been linked with I find it unlikely.

    Also I wanna see Traore given a shout at left wing.
