I know he'll be 30 this year, but he's still got a couple of years left and seems to be getting better with age. Gets goals and creates plenty of opportunities. If we're going to spend a lot on strikers then he may be an option for a cheap winger. £4/5 million may tempt Stoke. We could do worse. Move Jonas to the right, he could link up well with Simpson. Just an idea.

One of the most consistent wingers in the league.

I would like to see the development of Shane Ferguson rather than bringing in an ageing winger.

I've always thought he was a good player, but to push on I think we need better than good, if we can get someone like him who is younger then yes.

I don't think Ferguson will be ready to be a regular first team player until at least the season after next.

Probably a good idea to have more than one established PL left winger seen as Ben Arfa will be playing off a striker.

I don't know, IMO we can always play HBA on the left and stick Nolan/Ireland playing off the striker

Very underrated. Solid, reliable, consistent, effective and efficient. I'll have him at the RIGHT price but he's not getting any younger and he's one of Stoke's key players so they'll demand a ridiculous fee and he doesn't fit into our ''transfer policy of buying players 26? and under''.

In conclusion.. can't see it happening.

I guess with them being in the EUROPA League next year he wouldn't want to go. Plus, Stoke are solid financially so don't have to sell anyone.

No, he's a good player for Stoke with all their height and is the only creative player (apart from Pennant now), but I wouldn't sign him, would rather sign someone younger like possibly Jarvis.

Back up, 4 Million, But stoke would never let him go for that sort of money, so he would not be worth it as they would want like 10 Million probably.

^ Hammil/Brunt as well. Decent wingers both who would add squad depth.. also would love Kranjcar.

I'd be delighted if we got Brunt or Jarvis as wingers. Kranjcar too, brilliant player.
