Watched the game at home on ESPN, bit of a change from Sky Sports. Here are my conclusions: 1) Keegan and Savage are an odd pair......Keegan quite jittery, but Savage was decent......hit the nail on the head with the Taarabt sending off; might be a blessing in disguise. He is a luxury player, will get a games rest for the more important Stoke game. Also alleviates the selection issue re: Cisse. Good to give him a a run against the scum. 2) Waddle - dumbest comment ever made: "QPR have made a poor start" -........ after 1min 40 seconds......Jesus Christ. 3) Interesting effort with the "interactive" analysis.....loved the lifesize Taarabt "avatar" that popped up and gave them a cheeky look. 4) Not sure that a one hour build up to the game was necessary..........by the game started it was almost unbearable to watch!!! (especially after waiting for all of the other results to come in) 5) Pretty obvious that Clattenburg made a boo boo by not realising he had already booked Adel..... 6) Lastly, thought the back four and Kenny were outstanding today. Clint Hill must get another contract. Diakite looks a good player too. Right.........I am officially shattered after watching that and cant wait to go to the Stoke game......hopefully HQ will continue to remain a fortress Over and Out............
I watched it on ESPN too and you give a great summary. 1) Agree that Savage is actually alright. 2) That was Waddle? What an idiot. I laughed when he said that too! 3) Lifesize thing is good but the "Subbuteo" pitch thing is a bit shi*ty. 4) Half of the hour basically focused on the other matches so not too bad on that front. 5) Big time. 6) Agreed.
Waddle was quite upset his Spudlings lost, didn't even bother trying to hide his contempt. Don't recall him being this awful previously, maybe they should keep him away from Toon an Spurs games
Newbury, I watched espn in the pub so missed the the commentary, totally agree with your comments espicially the above.
I tried to watch the recorded coverage when I got in from the game. I had to give-up as Waddle wouldn't let Spurs cock out of his mouth. He was so biased that it became embarrasing. Although I did watch every corner that Van der Vaart took and as clear as daylight, you could see me and my two young daughters hurling abuse at him. He hated it. At one point he took a corner and felt the full force of ' Le Stade le Cauldron.' and when Hill headed it out for another corner you could see VdVaart roll his eyes and think..'' Oh ****, I've got to go back there.''
They loved it swords, 8 & 9 years of age and full of hatred of the enemy... ''Cheat..Cheat ...Cheat''... I'm so proud of them. And they got home and played with their dolly's. They're coming to Chelsea with me next week... ' Your father is a dealer, your mother is a stealer... the Terry family duh duh duh, duh duh.' Good childhood fun.
Waddle was a disgrace. So biased it was unbelievable. Not a Savage fan to be honest, but he was OK. Unusual pairing with Keegan. Both feel like a cheap set-up from ESPN. However, couldn't give a damn... Waddle sent home with his duck feathers between his legs.. as the sound of "We are the Rangers boys" hangs in the air at Loftus Rd....
Was at the game but haven't seen the ESPN coverage. Did they show the ballboy deliberately (?) chip the ball over Van Der Vaart when we was waiting to take a corner? It was brilliant and wound the Spurs fans up no end. Had everyone in the West Paddock in stitches. Sadly he was immediately substituted (or maybe he was he moved down to the Loft end away from the Spurs fans)...
Good to see you again yesterday 999, I said to my wife during those corners in the second half "they don't like it up em, do they?". Hopefully see you next week at the scum, where are you sitting?
Hi Sussex, likewise, always good to see you and your family. We're sitting in the Shed Lower, Row 11. We'll hopefully see you there.
We're in Lower row 4, maybe your girls can give us some tips on how to "respect" the Scum We'll all need a shower in dissinfectant after coming out from that ***hole.
I may of exaggerated to the degree of abuse dished out by my little girls Sooper. I remember looking at their little faces during the first couple of corners, ( Lower Loft / Ellerslie Rd corner. ) and they just sat there open mouthed and in complete bemusement at the language and hatred directed at VdV. By the end, they joined in with a few little boos of their own and had a little giggle to each other at their naughtiness. They did enjoy seeing themselves on TV though.
That was quality, particularly the fake apology from the ballboy to VDV I think that he needs to start our last home game vs Stoke
They're well primed for this one Sussex as most of the boys in their class are Chelsea fans. The couple that are Spurs are going to get it tomorrow.
