Now the dust has settled I have a hypothetical question I would like to ask; As a club do you think we are equipped to make the leap into the premiership? I don't mean do we have the players or the squad, what I mean is the club as a whole Training facilities, academy, resources, infrastructure as a whole I can't help thinking that we are ill equipped to make the leap and I'm not even sure why I feel like this I know this sounds crazy and it's not because of our defeat yesterday but I can't help comparing our club with similar clubs in the championship and feel there is something missing Ok waffle over
i think off the pitch most definately we are equipped, just minor things but all in all we are ok. players wise, we do need a bit more flair, but with flair you sometimes lose the work rate, my biggest hope for next season is mick has seen what can be done by going at teams rather than settling for a point, so next year we play a bit more on the front foot.
Facilities-wise, I think we'd make the step-up fine. I would prefer us to have a Category One academy level, maybe an extension of food/drink facilities and the toilets, because there can be long queues to get a beer or 'bleed the lizard', particularly on busy match-days, which would be a regular occurrence at Premier League level. Reduced ticketing prices would be good, particularly if we fail to pack out Portman Road in our Premier League games. If you're thinking of a club that, facilities wise, is not equipped to make the step up, then spare a thought for Bournemouth.
we've been there before and the facilities were fine so no reason to think they would be miles away if we went up again but at the end of the day if the first team squad is strong enough to compete I think 95% of us wouldn't give a toss about anything else short term.
