Actually cromer, if you'd read all his tweets, the tweet before the one you just quoted said 'devastated meaning ill only get to be with my family for four days next month' or something to that effect.

Try and at least read everything before laying into the lad

I completely agree and I know that everyone on here has an opinion of anything that a certain Ipswich player puts on Twitter... although I think we're all in agreement in that that particular Gentleman is an absolute arse of the highest order <laugh>

As for Bennett, it's another slip up and some fans will rightly be a little miffed about it, that's because a large proportion of us would give our right arm to play for our club and someone being "insensitive" is exactly what riles the fans up...

Also, I actually like Pre Season.. I'm training 3x a week at the minute and can hardly bloody move right now.... but I know that come September I'll have shifted some of this timber around my waist <laugh> and wont be blowing out my arse after 5 minutes of a match <ok>

Part of the positive of having pleayers on twitter is them being able to be themselves and get there views and feelings on things.

I wouldnt enjoy following any players if they were 100% restricted by their clubs.

On a side note, I love pre-season. I sepnt last weekend marking up a new pitch and digging footings for new goal posts. This weekend the hard bit begins....!

I personally can't see the problem, no matter where you work or profession and how much you earn, you can't beat days off work.

People over reacting again and up in arms over nothing.

Wouldn't Twitter be a bit dull if the players only ever tweeted media friendly soundbites?

    #great to be back
#can't wait till the season starts
    #a massive pre-season for us
    #good bunch of lads

    Twitter IS a bit dull!

I only made one tweet, which made me a twat. I thought better of it after that.

Twitter isn't dull if you're following the right people.

    ^ - this - ^.

I follow wildlife, RSPB etc, musicians, photographers, travel blog writers, local news, sport and weather people and - of course many fans, journos and players @NCFC.

If any get dull, boring or annoying, simply unfollow. No dramas <ok>

You normally hear about news about anything first on twitter before anywhere else. One of many reasons why I like it :)

Back to the OP for a moment, and NOT getting on Ryan Bennett's case, but here's (imho) a much better way of saying exactly the same thing as he did - without causing any ripples of discontent <ok>

It's called diplomacy and it's not something a fair amount of footballers are blessed with, sadly.

I signed up to twitter a couple of months ago and find it very addictive. I seem to have quite a few female canary fans following me <whistle>
