I have been virtually on my own, regarding the WRONG decision made by the board by appointing Del from St Johnstone and I have been criticised for harping on and not backing the manager whom I've always felt was a massive risk.
Enough is enough for me and for the good of Bristol City; something needs to be urgently done.
There are NO MORE EXCUSES to use that will convince me that anything will change with this manager in charge.

NO to Director of Football, it’s a waste of money and will do no purpose what so ever with Del in charge.

Del has had his time, he has had his chance, many have continued to back him and many have said what a great job he has done for the academy.
But what is the good to a progressing academy when we are heading directly to league one? None

He is way out of his depth here in the championship and needs to drop down a league or two to slowly establish himself.

Time is starting to run out if a new manager is to come in, the board (SL) needs to ACT NOW. i'm hoping they acted a few weeks ago (as I ranted) and have someone lined up or have had talks with so this can be done quickly and smoothly, but I have a feeling this is typical Bristol City and that won't be the case.

Where as I understood the reason most City fans backed Del, I have lost patience and no longer do. And for those on here who have and continue to criticise me not getting behind the manager, I think you are beginning to understand why....
My seat at the ground will no longer become occupied until something is done for the rest of the season.

When DM was appointed I for one was impressed by the overall character of the man and I'm not ashamed to say that I tought he would bring a breath of fresh air to a club that had a history of doing strange, if not totally, wrong things. Our previous history of making mistakes at all levels would disappear with our new man and I liked the cut of his jib.

Toaday I am prepared to eat those words in public and join an eternal doubter named onefor who has been proven right.

The team is in freefall and the only outcome, based on current form, is down to the dreaded League One and until the supposed leader of our club shows up and hires the right man then I fear for both our short and long term futures. I really believed that we had brought in some new talent that would at least keep us competitive in this division, but alas not. I hear rantings on this board about the lack of consistency in team selection and players either being played out of position or not at all and it begs the question as to DM's ability to manage as I, and others, believed he could.

It's all starting to sound eerily similar to the happenings of seasons gone by and the biggest question is not whether Derek should go but who the hell would want to manage at Ashton Gate given our history of apathy and lack of attention to the details of the game that consistently prove to be our undoing.

Message to Steve Lansdown - The supporters of your club are starting to lose even more faith in the teams ability to employ a manager and players that are worthy of their hard earned cash. This has been going on for far too long and it's about time that decisions were made at the top level that would benefit the team and bring back the people who have been disappearing from the seats in droves.

Please make the right decisions this time and restore our belief because as I'm sure you know it's what we all want, isn't it? Over to you sir!

I agree - we've had enough and SL needs to act.
I think the main problem for successive managers has been that they can't attract the players they really
want to the club - and end up settling for something inferior. Some say it is down to the wage cap, some
say players hear that the Bristol public don't get behind their team and it ain't a good place to be.
Regardless of all this, Del is clearly out of his depth. He chops and changes, doesn't use some of the
best players at the club and appears to have no clear plan of how we are going to play. He isn't
making the best use of the players we do have and a different manager may just correct some of this.
Can it really get much worse than 1 win in 17...??????

Totally agree unreliant and it makes me even madder when I think back to the previous years under other managers when the same things happened and yet they have still not been addressed.

Do we have anybody at, or willing to come to, Ashton Gate who can understand the issues at our club and fix them - I seriously have my doubts on both fronts. How much longer can we endure this apathy from the club's management?

If Del goes I would not be surprised if Louis Carey was appointed manager.

I tell you what he certainly would not tolerate and allow this constant crap that is served up week in,week out.
Could be a short term replacement.

Much though I like Louis Carey remember what happened to Tinnion. A legend strangled by the managerial reins.

Very true,I did say short term replacement if the right man was not avaliable just yet, surly he would not have a bad record like Delboys though.

ROD. I also,I have laid my cards on the table and given the name I would like here on a new thread.
It would be a short term thing, but the man I want is avaliable,I don't now if he would come but certainly worth asking.

Think you all know my feelings about Mcinnes.

Yes he's out of his depth but those fu***ng players who wear red shirts are an absolute disgrace.
They turn up in cars most on here can only dream about but couldn't care a toss about BCFC or us fans.

Is there a manager out there who could keep us from relegation - maybe Billy Davies but can't see it happening.

McInnes fu**ed us back in the summer and since with his continual changes - think we're beyond saving.

ps - Sorry guys, I thought lightening couldn't strike twice so I didn't tip JUNIOR in the last at Newcastle yesterday.
Won at 3's - I knew JUNIOR would come good one day.

Players are like a load of sheep, they need to be led to the pen and not left to their own devices.
The right manager who knows what he's doing I am confident can still turn this season around.
Like I said before, you could give Del Barcelona and he'd still **** it up....I'm amazed he's lasted so long!
Time for action Mr SL, no more cheap options, if you want success with/for this club you have to do things properly, no more short cuts, no ex players, no more up and coming managers from the Scottish leagues please.

NB. I see the manager I wanted seems to be doing ok, many thought would be useless and he's only had 3 months in the job!!!!

One of my concerns is we get players on loan and don't play them. Last year we had Keanan from Caardiff and this year D.Wilson from Liverpool.

Liverpool would of sent him out to get game time, so far he has had 60 seconds, that's 60 seconds more than Keanan last year. What are the chances of either of those clubs contiplateting loaning us anyone again.

The Keanan thing could possibly be the reason Gerrard would not come here.

I have defended as much as I can, I just can't see us turning the ship would live it to happen, but as said I'm not a manager (football that is) but even I know to change things straight away when you go 2-0 not wait till have time then only make 2 changes still at 0-4 is telling me Del was happy with the other 9 players!

I still want him to stay even after yesterday I do have things that need to change
    1. Playing high balls all the time especially against wolves they are a lot bigger then us
2.captaincy Liam has not been good enough lack of replacements is a problem
    3. Same footed cb Wilson and Wilson needed
    4. Players to actually think and find space and to look up when passing
    5. Don't shrink out of challenges
    6. Attack attack attack that's what we did at start of season lets get back to it we gotta play to our strength
I will always occupy my sear when I can losing 6-0 against reading was a whole lot worse

Like you, I will always go to watch if some disappear just because they don't like the results then that's their choice.

    Mmmmmm Sheep

Don't think no one disputed your claim for Zola, it was that he never came here so it was no good going on about him. Probably if a poll was done he would of been most people's favourite choice, but can't change the past. <ok>

Nope, not true ROD, If I remember, I was the only one that requested his services and if I remember I got slaughted for it...lol but hey ho.
I even had someone come on after about 4 weeks in charge of Watford saying that he hadn't done much for them........I had to chuckle, thinking what an idiot! Can't remember who it was now!

Could well off been me, as I felt at the time everyone should get behind Del. As I said as much as I want him to succeed I just can't defend his dicisions anymore.

I just can't see why play a 5 man midfield at home without a recognised goalscorer. But keep two of them on the pitch?

As I said come next season championship or league one I will still get excited on Saturday knowing that in the next two hours will decide if I feel good or bad. And be attending home and a few away games. If people chose not to I'm not saying they are not real supporters it's their choice.

As I always say in football teams I'm pretty much ****ed being Welsh and supporting City. Don't think in my lifetime I will see either successful.

Just pleased I have the egg chasers to fall back onto in international stage, but even that is going pear shaped for me at the moment.

Onefor, i may be that idiot your on about, and you have to admit after so many games, and it was more than four weeks, he wasn't doing very well, but fair play to the man, he certainly has since, but hey who's to say he would have done as well here without the Italian connection.
PS i bow to your great knowledge.

Wasn't much more than a few weeks Ad and blimey he only took the job in the Summer!! And he's sure to go through a bad patch....the proof in the pudding is how well he does after!
He's using quite a few loans, but hey if that gets them up the table and at the same time he can bring in his own to learn that has to be the way to go.
Sorry AD, didn't mean to call you or anyone else an idiot but I see something that could be good I act on it and could see/tell that Zola would not have been a bad choice.
He was a very special player and had the potencial to be a good manager at West Ham before their issues at the time.

But hey that's gone and we at BCFC are all hoping (I think) that SL does the right thing for the future and learns by his mistakes...Del being one of them!
