Does the leaving the pitch for an injury rule apply for goalkeepers? I don't think it does. Playing without a goalkeeper is quite a hinderance i imagine.

It's part of his character to talk crap one minute and then follow it up with talking sense, it's why the show is popular as he winds callers up by going from a bellend to sounding intelligent, causes confusion.

Who would you rather? Jason Roberts and his mono tone voice who just says '' this is only my opinion '' every five seconds and then says '' caller what do you think'' in his pathetic voice.

I've had to turn the radio off when he comes on!

    hbic :D

I would prefer "Get real, Madrid" as their official Spurs 606 name though.

Factitious has one-and-a-half swear words in it, which sums the club up perfectly!

Apart from anything else, another blow on the head later in the game could have had extremely serious consequences...

Firstly, I don't think AVB was "dictated" to by Lloris, I think the the GK confirmed he wanted to stay on, and AVB wanted him to stay on because he is a great deal better, even with a head injury.

Secondly, because he's a multi million pound asset. It's probably even written into his insurance contract.

I know i'd deffinitely run the rule over anything that had had an impact, that is of that kind of monetary value, be it human or otherwise.

This dismissive "you've never played at the highest level" so your opinion is worthless attitude, is fairly common with people involved in the game. I saw signs of this yesterday from Tony Adams when he was talking to Ben Shepherd on Goals On Sunday. There are 2 coaches at Spurs with the same attitude, who think fans should pay their money and keep their mouths shut.

There is no doubt in my mind that the human race is on it's way out. What a bunch of delicate flowers we now are. Ooooh! he's hit his head we need a full scale medical enquiry. Children practically locked in their bedrooms because their parents fear the big bad world is a danger to them.

Well the news is that this continual over protection, will only lead to a weaker human race. Protect yourself from germs and the first ones you came across will kill you. Refuse all risk and life will become very grey indeed.

The joke is that this all happens in a society which spends much of it's time sitting on it's arse stuffing it's face with ****. You don't need to just wake up and smell the coffee you need to take the risk of getting out there and grinding it.

The medical proffession has responded magnificently to the neo liberal society and has us exactly where it wants us; living in fear of living, but not to worry they are ready to bale us out, keep talking and taking the ****. <ok>

...okay, be honest, who else read this and immediately thought of Sherwood?

  15. The way that the media has stepped on this story is complete and utter bollocks and serves only to remind me why I never buy newspapers or go out of my way to watch the news on TV.

Anyone would have thought that Lloris had been involved in a car-crash the way that some of these dickheads have been spouting on.

Why was there none of this uproar after Townsend was knocked out last v Hull and then came back on?
Or is it only an issue with keepers being knocked out?

I guess because the game wasn't live on TV and it wasn't made public until much later that Townsend had been knocked out. Nonetheless, Townsend did ignore the medics advise to come on, in fact it looked as if they were escorting him to the dressing room and he then broke free and just ran back on.
