Lost interest in international footy a long time ago (around the time when Kevin Phillips, the only ever English winner of the European Golden Shoe, didn't get picked with absolutely no explanation.)

Don't care at all any more

Yeah I care, its our national football team! Hope we stuff them.

Why do we hate England so much? It must be the constant let downs and I doubt this will ever change until the final whistle in the World Cup final goes and we are winning the Germans 5-1. Suppose the press have a lot to do with the negativity around England.

I like proper internationals - not when you get 6 changes at half time.

Love it when we qualify for the finals. The booze, the barbeques, the fights.

Getting to the last 8, believing "this is the time"

I'll be watching tonight, and i'll be hoping we (England) win. However, throughout the entire 90+ minutes my blood WILL be boiling from the unadulterated rage i experience everytime i watch England. Frank Lampard is the ANTITHESIS, AN-****ING-TITHESIS, of an international footballer. I watched him kill England's football for 10+ years yet here he is still, despite being now absolute trash for Chelsea (i've watched two Chelsea games this season and he's been just truly ****ing terrible in both) too, still make the England squad. I'm seething just writing about it now. And right at the time when he's finally not getting in the England starting 11 due to age, Tank Clampard (aka Tom Cleverly, his style is literally exactly that of Fat Franks) walks straight into the senior squad on the back of some seriously average performances. I'm praying i haven't got to watch Cleverly flounder on the international stage and watch England continue to play like ****e as a result. Can't we just have a manager that understand what's required on the international stage? A manager that realises there must literally be a thousand players more capable of playing international football than Lampard.

And then there's Capello. Is there words to describe how hopeless this man is? I've just to hear his name and i lose touch with rational thinking. This is the man that said Bale is the best player in the world now, based on couple of performances against Inter, while Messi and Ronaldo are banging in 50+ goals each in a season. Man i can't ****ing bare him.

Im just glad theres a game of footy on. would probably prefer to watch the JPT but not that bothered. I just think the way the english footbal team is portrayed is a load of bull. Last time I enjoyed international football was euro 2008 when england didnt qualify. Only because I could enjoy the games without some sour faced pundit going on about how it effects englands chances.

As much as I want England to do well (like the rest of the home nations), I have to say I'm not all that fussed. I don't feel that the players representing England represent me, an English person. They represent an England that is as foreign to me as any given area of London is. Thats not to say London is full of foreign people, but that it is so removed my life that it may as well not be what I would call as being England.

Watching and supporting syd still can't fathom why Capello has changed a winning team just because of one player, Bale is very good but he will not win it on his own. Keep the winning team as they will be confident and up for it especially as we haven't won at Wembley for the last 4 or 5 games.
Maybe he has a hotline the Bruce about team tactics
