Jiffie, fair enough and pretty much as I see it.
I wish I could see the forward passes that others see.

England XI: Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Rice, Phillips, Mount, Sancho, Kane, Sterling.
Bukayo Saka suffered a "slight knock" in training on Friday and does not appear on the bench while Kieran Trippier is named on the bench which again contains Jack Grealish.

Great team performance, never been that enthusiastic about Southgate but can't fault him, well done to him and all of the players, I'm off to crack open another Stella.

That was the best England performance I have seen for many years and we can just hope they don't lose focus for the semi-final. Well done the lads.

Forget about tough. One sided win. Much prefer that team shape. Sixteen players used, scored four and kept a clean sheet with Grealish left on the bench. Luke Shaw man of the match.

    Also like that set up.
Have to say each player and set up change has worked for Southgate.
    Fair play.

used the subs to protect the card holders, good thinking without really weakening the side to much ….. early goal in any game is important, but will be especially so against the Danes …………….
played some constructive football Sancho and Shaw added an extra dimension... Sterling did well again... defence looked well switched on …..
bad vibe ……….. most teams have at least 1 bad game!!!!!!!!! lets hope it is not the next one! I can handle a defeat in the final as the TEAM is now starting to grow!

With all due respect to England and their progress so far in the Euro's, for me the greatest sporting achievement in the past couple of weeks is the incredible resurgence of the greatest bike sprinter of all time the wonderful Mark Cavendish.

I have watched and attended the tour de France for a quite a few years now and my primary reason was watching this guy. The past 5 years without him in the tour have been IMHO boring. The guy is 36 years old and the past 5 years for him have been a living hell, injury, being in weak teams, loss of form, loss of belief and worst of all being written off by his fellow racers and pundits alike. The last of his then 30 stage wins (4 less than the stage winning record holder Eddy Merckx) at the tour was 5 years earlier and he feared he would never get another chance.

Now I am an atheist but have the belief that some things are meant to be and earlier this year he enjoyed a modicum of upturn in his form and won a couple of stages in a few lesser races. However a week before the tour de France he had not been selected for his team to participate in the tour in favour of a one the best younger sprinters around. Virtually 3 or 4 days before the start of the tour the young sprinter Sam Bennett was still carrying an injury and Cav was brought into replace him.

I am pretty sure most of his rivals, pundits and fans (including me) thought it would be an emotional farewell appearance in the tour.

How wrong were we all?, Cav has won 3 more stages and is now one win away from equalling the Merckx all time record, given the feigning of injury by pussie footballers, they should take a long look at bike road racers and their desire to get back into the saddle ASAP after some horrific crashes and severe injuries.

Good luck to England but this is for me the greatest sporting achievement of the summer.

Englands last meetings v Denmark won 2, drawn 1, lost 3. England played Denmark twice last year and failed to score. Forget about all of that110% nailed on England win.

I feel confident because I think that apart from the Scotland game we have looked pretty comfortable in our games, whereas Denmark have not.
I’m under no illusion that it will be easy - it certainly won’t - both teams are there on merit, but I do think that the current England team are stronger than the current Denmark side and on paper we should win.

The biggest joke in terms of it being a knockout competition is that Denmark have already lost 2 games in this tournament.
A bit like the Champions League, where it used to be all about the real champions of various countries, not where finishing 4th or so in your particular league gets you an invite when you're not the actual national champions, and earns teams millions of unjustified pounds. But as per usual it's about the money

I agree completely with what you say! It's the same with rugby as well. Harlequins are champions yet finished fourth - what a load of bollox!!

And without wishing to be sexist, I wish they'd stick to male pundits too who have played the MENS game !

I'd rather have some women pundits than Ashley Cole! What a waste of space he is!

He's not the best but at least Ashley Cole played the game.

Woke means we have a woman, a black, and white pundit irrespective of football experience and knowledge.
Then you get Micah Richards who ticks the boxes but I mute the set every time he's asked a question.
And why do the BBC think his idiotic laugh is something we want to hear.

I quite like listening to Emma Haynes but the point is why is she on tv when there is an endless number of blokes to commentate on a blokes game. Something I reverse to there are plenty of knowledgeable (or not) female ex players/coaches to comment on the women's game. I know the reason but its not reflective of the actual game.
