You should start a thread about it. It’s been the key moment of the World Cup so far. Definitely worth its own thread.
5 You’ve got 15 years on me Clive. Your colleagues must have thought “oh ****, the old twat will be prattling on about that all day tomorrow”.
Which Rashford squandered, yeah I know I like Vardy, always have. Not seen enough of Rashford to judge, but in this tournament he's looked a threat when he's on. Harry Kane, however, is without doubt the best English striker since Michael Owen. As good as Shearer, as good as Lineker; we have really missed having a striker of that quality. Even @Hoddle Is A God has so far failed to sour my opinion of Kane (he'll keep trying though).
7 I’d put you at slip. Not because you’re too old to run but because you’d bore the batsmen into submission.
He’s good for at least an hour. And in that hour he’ll offer you far more than Young offers in 90 mins.
Young turning back on to his right foot is rather predictable ... and slows the momentum ... if you are going to play him it should be on the right ... but then he doesn't get in because Trippier and Walker are much better options ... IMHO
Kane is far better even than those you mention, as he is proving. His value will have increased exponentially at this WC. He can’t be far off £500m. Don’t be like that, Archie. All I do is continually remind you that Kane is the greatest striker in world footy, and that he’s one of our own. Not really sure why that would piss you off, like.
What does Rose 'add'? ****e defensive work, anything else? Not really sure what your full back is supposed to add? A few magic tricks?
I prefer Rose to Youngs. Rose made a defensive error for the goal, but Youngs got made a fool by the Panama winger in defence. Positionally not there and slow in attack.
