The FIFA lot are suggesting that the above be scrapped and dicontinued. I'm not sure what their thinking is for this. I'm not sure this would affect the larger clubs but am sure it would affect the lower ones who almost rely on this sort of thing. What would it achieve? The only thing that I can offer as an answer might be a plus for the decision. Maybe this would deter larger clubs from snapping up players left right and centre and then just having to store them away rather than allow them to cut their teeth in a lower league. Perhaps talented young players would then be more inclind to go with a lower league club from the outset and be nurtured there. Once matured into a better article then be sold to a top club to replenish their playing stock. This would then give the lower league clubs something to sell to increase their revenue and have use of better players there being more in the market place.
Does anyone else feel that the FL are trying to eradicate smaller clubs out of the equasion to leave only the big guns standing? I am beginning to suspect this more and more.
This is a FIFA proposal rather than a FL proposal but yes would be my answer to that one. They only have eyes for the big money and teams and have had for a long time now. The rest of us are an inconvenience and if we died out as a species they would not shed a tear.
Only because you wrote it 19 mins later sensible..........bit difficult to do that........I'm only human.
