Toon and Sunderland owners to SWAP clubs.

In an interesting development today, Ellis Short and Mike Ashley agreed to swap ownership of their respective Premier League clubs. The move follows several clandestine meetings between their Chairman Niall Quinn and Derek Llambias, during which the Sunderland icon managed to convince the penguinesque Llambias that he and Mike Ashley would be loved by the Sunderland faithfull. "They sing Mike's name at every match, and some of them even have him as their usernames on internet forums" the former Sunderland, Arsenal and Manchester City striker told Ashley's number two.

After signing the agreements Llambias was then made to run naked around the Stadium of Light pitch as this was a major condition stipulated by Short.

Short and Quinn were last seen doing the conga on the steps of St. James' Park.

    Well, I can dream, can't I?

My brother has layed claim to that marra...He's also Sunderland daft, but doesn't get a season ticket because being a male 'mental nurse' (in a number of different ways) means his shifts often clash with home games.

SO Quinn has walked, mike ashley is our new owner, and Bruce is to be replaced by Gary Lineker/Shearer partnership?

**** me, does that mean all our problems are sorted?

Oh wait, message just through - apparently Keagan and Wise are to be appointed football directors as well. Could it get any better?

Just read that article which is interesting - especially the bit which says that "Bruce blamed defensive mistakes when in truth Chelsea could have won by more" - and?? They didn't - which means that we defended well for the most part (well, Brown and Bardsley did!!)
