You can only loan a player if he's already at another club. Special rules for keepers, if you're down to your last first team keeper, you can bring one in on emergency loan.
Well i meant if a keeper was unattached. Who would we get. Shay Givens desperate for first team action but cant see Villa letting him go.
Not sure off the top of my head, I can't think who might be available, Given would fit the bill and is almost certainly available.
I'd rather have Jak than Ox. I think Jak is just unlucky to have made blunders on debuts and things like that, games that stick into fans' memories and they quickly wrote him off. Oxley isn't very good in my opinion. Jak just needs confidence and not playing him and not being behind him is really not going to give him any. I don't personally rate Harper much anymore. I know I'm going to get slated but where he may be ahead of the others in leadership and experience he lacks in actual skill. His diving is almost non existant as he's not that tall and won't be diving as far at his age. Jak lacks leadership and confidence but he has the most potential from all of them. That's why I think he should be number 2.
Tomasz Kuszczak is a free agent and would be decent cover for a few months. I have huge doubts with Jak. I couldn't see him playing for 4 or 5 games without making a big error. Like I've said before he looked dodgy in the Championship before the Sheff Wed game. He's very flappy and just looks like he make a mistake.
Jaks tip over the bar from the header that was going in preserved our lead and was an excellent reaction save. Made a few others that should help his confidence.
I think it's unlikely we'll go into a Premier League game with a keeper has never played a first team game at any level.
Reading the Oldham forums, they didn't think much of Oxley. Started a bit **** and got better with time was the most positive verdicts. He'd also been dropped to the bench by the time we recalled him last season. Haven't seen enough of him to give an opinion myself.
I don't get why so many people are reticent to play Jak. He's had some terrible appearances but we've conceded 14 goals in 9 games in all English competitions... I don't think would do any worse.
Only if **** for brains gets his own way and is allowed to change the name. Publicly stated that he is not putting anymore money in.
Just worry about Jakupovic on crosses/corners. Never comes out and claims the ball, he always looks caught in two minds and have a flap or punches it. His reflexes and shot stopping seem adequate. Suspect we may rush back McGregor now. Schwarzer, Friedel, Butland and Given are all not playing at their respective clubs, not sure how they'd feel about letting us have them mind.
Regardless of his other qualities Jak is a much better distributor of the ball than both McGregor and Harper. At least one of his kicks out yesterday brought praise from one of the commentators on Sky a rare event when commenting on such mundane game activities.
I was a bit worried when Jak came on but luckily the defence was solid. I was more worried when AB came on for Daws, who'd bee solid! Both together was a worry, one or the other not so. But credit to them both. Or possibly Arsenal wanting to pass it into the net as always. Liverpool does worry me more as they are more direct than Arsenal!
