Article continues Advertisement Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, R's gaffer Neil Warnock explained: "There are some really good lads with good quality amongst the eight that we've released. "This could be just what they need to go on and kick-start their careers. I wish them all the best." The Club would like to thank all eight players for their contribution to QPR and wish them the very best for the future.
surprised Parker and Rose have been released. Mahon, can see why as i doubt he was going to get back in first team squad.Borrowdale not an NW fav so can see him and Clarke def going, reckon that Rowly and Cook may become available for transfer as I believe that both still have a year left on contract. Rowly still needs games so could maybe see a loan deal next season. I take it we can't get rid of Paladidi, Flav and Bernie the same way......
Nothing too surprising about any of the names in that list - they would still be on their way and good luck to them if we were still in the championship. Let's support Neil! COYR's!!!
What about the likes of German and Balanta, is the feeling that these guys would become availbale for loan again or do you think we we will try and get a couple of quid for each of them as there doesnt look like any chance of them getting into the squad next year. However they would probably be worth keeping hold of should we make a quick return to the championship as I dont really know of any other young prospects we have coming through the ranks at Rangers?
Meh, don't care, some of them were meant to be good youth prospects but we have a pretty ****e academy and i don't think we will produce many, if any, first teamers. Although, my mate, who is a MK Dons fan has said Balanta has been great for them, but it is League 1....
I think Balanta is worth a go. He's done well in League One and we aren't exactly blessed with a plethora of forwards. German is beyond useless I'm afraid- big and strong but the touch of a rapist.
Oastler will probably sign on a free to Torquay, where he's been all season and played for them in the League 2 Playoff Final at the weekend.
Watford, what are you on about. German is a decent young player who could be one to watch for the future.Shame about Parker, as he had a brilliant pre-season and I thought he could be an important in a good season. Balanta is definitely one for the future, hes young and talented. IMO Balanta is the best player to go through the academy since Ray Jones (RIP).
Really surprised that Parker has gone. Really rated him and thought he could make it. The other 7 not really bothered about. It'll be interesting to see how Rose does seeing as he's been around for what seems like a lifetime. From our youth system German, Parker, Balanta, Ehmer and Andrade are the ones I really thought would make it.
HAVE to agree with watford German is woeful Parker looked the brightest. I think we could have done with bringing him on late in the games next year he very quick. shame about Rose to he's a nice guy very grounded.
Where's all this negativity surronding German come from? He's only played twice for us this year and he got a good goal. Last season he played very well considering it was his debut season and got two very important goals. Yes his touch wasn't great but he was 18 and it will only get better.
What do you think is going to happen with troy hewitt, obviously warnock saw something in him to grab him from non league but didn't get any minutes in the championship, so what's the likely hood he's going to get a chance in the prem?
I thought Rowlands was already released along with Buzsacky (heartbreaker) a few weeks ago?! Also, thank you Gavin Mahon for all your contributions!!!
This is simply those on the unwanted list that are completely out of contract. There will be plenty more that still have time left on their deals that NW will also be looking to move on. News to me if Buszacky is among them though: I still think he can make an impact again.
WLW - Took my boys to Manchester for the play off final - Big waste of a day! Joe only came on for the last couple of minutes when the gulls were throwing everyone forward. If he couldn't get into the starting eleven then no point being in a PL team, not even as a squad player. Hope he does well wherever he's playing next season though!
