Have you logged out and back in so you can give your opinion of the new banner! That goes for all of you please!
Logged out and back in, twice, but it eventually changed when I changed pages. Banners taller than I expected, was there any specification to this other than the width of 1800 as I think the original on my computer isn't as tall.
It is pixelated as it's been stretched - the picture has to be natively at least 1800 pixels or it's always going to be a bit blurry after the stretch.
Dave bor, I run a website for local crib and dominoes using Google, that is brilliant, but their browser I find rather user unfriendly. But then I suppose I'm still used to using steam radio LOL.
NORKIE bor, I use chrome because it's quicker, plus allegedly if you pick up a virus, it can't get out of the window you're using into the rest of your pc, and when you close that window, the virus is destroyed!
Hi Dave, that was an extremely useful tip, will definitely take a look at using Chrome now. Regarding the banner, I must admit I'm more interested in the comments on our site.
Maltese says the image is pixelated because it wasn't the minimum 1800 px width; but Dave says that while the first image sent to Mick wasn't 1800 px, an 1800 px "original" was sent later. That suggests that the current banner is a stretched version of the first image sent to Mick, i.e. the 1600 px image (or whatever it was), not the later 1800 px one?
Morning bors. Just logged out and in again - old banner is still showing. I'm using Chrome by the way. Weird.
The first one was not able to be stretched because it was programmatically downsized to fit the page, what wonky emailed to Mick was the 1800 pixel original! Quite honestly it looks much better quality to me than the old one, plus it's more relevant!
Still none the wiser! Does screen resolution make a difference? I.E. I guess most people are still using a resolution of 1280 x 800 or thereabouts, and the banner looks reasonable on that setting. Maybe Thai has a higher resolution screen?
Probably the old page/image is cached somewhere for speedier loading. Try refreshing the page several times.
