Not that I've given up all hope of another May day at Wembley, but I'm biting the bullet and heading over at Easter and am looking at the Blackburn and Forest matches as well as Derby away inbetween. Seems to be the best way to optimise family obligations and get a bit of Rangers in too (the other family).

I'm assuming none of these will be sellouts and that getting a ticket for Derby won't be too tricky given I'd be registered in the Box Office somehow.

Not sure who'll be about as it's over Easter, but would be good to share a refreshing beverage or three pre matches with the Not606ers. Anyone around?

Apart from the drink that all sounds incredibly unappealing :azn:

Even if we win every game between now and then you should be fine for Derby.

Anyone driving from the North West to Blackburn (home) or Derby (away)?
Just worked out they are public holidays and trains are not ideal for the day trip.
I'm travelling from Conway and can get to the M6 easily.
Can't guarantee to be the best company as I'll probably be a little jetlagged (another reason not to risk a 9 hour drive to London)

Thanks for the heads up, didn’t realise we are the Southern Region board. I’ll check out that board.

Will find out which pre match venue is preferred closer to Easter

Been trying to get tickets to Liverpool vs Huddersfield on the same day as Forest home. Reason: my father is an old bugger (obvious as I am an old bugger) and has never seem Liverpool at anfield. I cant get a ticket for less than 700 pounds. Has the world gone mad?

Worth a shout. He wasn’t keen on the drive to London for the forest game. He wasn’t overly keen on the drive to Derby, but I’ll make him do that

As Easter approaches, my level of interest is waning. I will suffer the Blackburn game - even though it's a 4.5 hour drive from Conway. I'm hiring a car and staying in Beaconsfield before the return journey. I look forward to meeting some of you - probably at the C&S before the game, unless there is another preferred. Yet to get my ticket but will aim for Upper Loft again - Beth, will you be there with the usuals?

Derby away now looks like it could be more torture than usual away games. My record for away games is not bad - Everton 0-1, Villa 2-2, Bristol City 1-1. There have also been some shockers Swindon 1-0, Villa 2-0 (had my car window smashed and drove back to Bristol frozen) - these were pre Australia days.

I will definitely miss the Forest game as I've finally got tickets to Liverpool Huddersfield on the Friday night - had to go for a hospitality package in the end - ridiculously expensive but it's a bucket list item for Dad and we'll stay in the City that night. It'll be a trip too far given that's my last weekend before returning to Aus.

Can't say I've been too impressed with happenings on the pitch of late - even gave up watching Norwich at half-time and went to bed. half p***ed and totally p***ed off. One of my business partners is a canary and is unbearable just now.

    Hi Melburnian
    Yeah I will be there.
The usuals will be at the back of the loft...we are still hanging on in there.

We usually meet in the Detectors, and it is getting increasingly difficult to actually get them moving towards the ground at 2.30....but we always make it....

Glad you got tickets for Liverpool for your Dad, that is by far the most important thing....

Hope to see you at Easter...safe journey

I am also back in the land of never ending Brexit for Easter too and have decided to descend to Dante's third circle of Hell and will be at both the Blackburn and Derby games

Got Derby tickets for me and my lad - amazed he accepted my offer but no doubt there will be an ulterior motive involving me paying for something or other - but yet to get a ticket for the inevitable home defeat

Reading the above, upper loft seems where it's all at these days

Also up for a pint and the obligatory pie if there's anyone else knocking about

I’m pretty sure the half time entertainment for this years Easter festival will involve the crucifixion of a member of QPR’s corporate management team. Could be fun.

The crucifixion candidate will be selected after a show trial with Clive Whittingham as chief judge, if his mental health holds up til then, and the sacrificial lamb will drag his cross from the barren wastelands of Warren Farm to Loftus Road while wearing a special spiky hat made from rose bush cuttings from Harold RedCrapps extensive garden in Sandbanks, as part of the pre match build up. The A40 is the new Via Dolorosa.

As the person who has made the longest journey to pay money to watch Queens Park Rangers attempt to play football, MelburnIan will be offered the opportunity to poke at the victim with the pointy end of a corner flag, on behalf of all QPR fans. Wubba will offer the man on the cross a narrow hooped shirt which has been used to mop the floor of the Ellerslie Road bogs to suck on to slake his thirst.

After the match the FA is expected to punish QPR fans for this barbaric spectacle by banishing them from Loftus Road for eternity, to wander the world in a fruitless search for a new stadium, as well as competent owners, managers and players.

I fly into Heathrow Thursday night

For Friday's game I'll try to make the boozer Beth mentioned above

No plans as yet for Derby, my lad is driving us down the short trip from Chesterfield. Have good memories of Derby away so hoping for more of the same. We used to go for a pint at that old real ale pub opposite the station so might give that a try
