Sorry guys - I'm sure this has been discussed at length on here but do we know if there's any movement on a redevelopment of that stand yet? Cheers
I doubt this is the answer you were looking for, but I don't think we sing "East stand, give us a wave" often enough. The only things I am sure about are that the SW corner will happen regardless because it is a cost effective thing to do, and that Duxbury has linked East Stand development to attendances. Most people are taking that to mean promotion = new stand, but 10,000+ season ticket holders next season is a step in the right direction even if we stay in the Championship.
Cheers NN - I asked mainly because if we stay down next year I''ll get my season ticket back - had to give it up a few years ago as I strated travelling for work so was missing too many games. Would be good to know what the pressure on the rous lower is. If we go up i wonlt biother as i donlt want to look like a glory hunter Thanks again
The East Stand will be done almost straight after the playoff final if we go up. If we don't, they're still looking for 15,000 a week before they do it. As for the SW corner, i had heard that at the last fans forum they announced that the dug out etc will no longer be moving and so will stay where it is for the foreseeable future.
The SW corner was no longer going to have the dressing rooms, and contracts to complete it should have been signed by now.
Probably the thought that four consecutive years ij the Premiership will never happen for us - so his contention can never be contested.
Didn't the owners say the East Stand will be done once we achieve promotion or have a consistent 15k attendance? Attendances have been rising this season so even if we don't go up this season, another good season next year and can see it being done within 2 years. It is sensible thinking on the owners part, and not wild promises like some previous owners have made....
If we go up this season, I think we would stay up for that long. We're a replacement for Chalobah and a good fitness coach away from having a spine you could build a Premier League team around. With or without Vydra.
Just thought I'd mention, we might get a few thousand more now that Iron Man is a Golden Boy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ViYDWJgq_A (Skip to 5:30 if you don't want to watch the painful interview)
