    how about,

    mig,
    elmo..turner..ned ricco
    hendo..catts..colbeck..bardo
    sess/noble..gyan

it may seem strange having bardo l/w but he's been running the left wing by-himself lately, and shoots

It may well be the team that SB picks Syd, but what's your opinion of Riveros starting in place of Colback? Colback was a gamble against Brum and did ok, but nothing spectacular. Would Riveros do any worse? He has to come good at some point, why not now?

RIVEROS, NOW THERE WE HAVE A NAME.

I have no idea TBH, thought he would be in front of a few and cant see why he is not. Big game experience, and by **** is this a big game, so for me yes, just seems Bruce sees something in training we dont.

Never too early to talk about the next match man! For me Riveros would be a gamble considering we don't know what the hell to expect from him in the premier league. From the little I have seen so far, he cannot cope with the franetic pacey nature of the league and much of the game passes him by. I want him to have the time to acclimatise to the Prem, but not when our when our collective testicles are hanging on a knife edge. Colbeck did okay on Saturday (I was at Brum), so I might be tempted to stick with him next to Catts, although I would like the experience of Zenden to be in there from a personal point of view,

    So I would go with

    Mig
    Elmo Onhua Turner Bardo
    Hendo Catts Zenden Steed
    Ricco
    Gyan

Thanks Spartacus, there's our answer Syd! Playing wise old heads in midfield may well be the answer to our woes. With our premier league status at risk, I don't think it is a good idea for SB to be throwing inexperienced players into the lions den. Picking this weekends team, formation and tactics is a massive call for SB, that's why he gets paid the big bucks and we don't. However, it doesn't stop us having our opinions!

Do we know if Muntari and Ricco will be fit for Saturday? If they are fit, it may be a good idea to play them both on the left to give the team some balance. Play Ricco at LB and Bardo at RB, so that our player of the season can deal with the threat of N'Zogbia. Play Muntari on the left wing, a position he performed so well in, in the England v Ghana match.

I would also be tempted to drop Hendo to the bench and play Elmo in front of Bardo. Elmo will at least get tackles in on N'Zogbia and has the pace to keep with him, something we all know is missing from Hendo's arsenal!

    Your thoughts guys?

This, but still want Hendo in over Elmo. He is a Sunderland lad and knows how big this game could be. I will be expecting a performance from him, especially after being dropped for the last home game.

You guys have lost Welbeck to injury as well?

What the HELL is going on at your clubs training sessions. There's a ridiculous number of injuries which have went well beyond bad luck now.

Stick noble, gyan & richardson up front. FFS its wigan at home.

Lets go for an up tempo game and when we score 1st, IGNORE steve bruce and play for a second goal and a third. DO NOT EFFIN sit back and defend cos we cant.

This. Steve Bruce must have shot a granny! I've got a stiff neck from shaking my head every time I here about yet another injured player :(

I thought last season was bad enough, but I can't ever remember a season as bad as this one for injuries.

i'd like to see muntari on the left...left side off an air italia plane, heading for milan with a one way ticket.

he's done nowt since he came, and just cos he's been out, it doesn't make it right for him to get a place now.

he'll be off in the summer, as he has shown enough even bruce has to be able to see, he is not worth buying...

I can't believe that SB has not put him out there in previous games. Did Bruce not watch the England v Ghana match? Muntari has to be tried on the left wing, if he fails, I'll drive him to the airport myself and pilot the plane!

Can't see us getting off the ground like, but I'll give it my best shot :)
