I have said may times he is not up to the job, he is our Andy Carroll, he is incapable of keeping the ball under pressure or completing a pass, he has taken the ball off Agueros foot in two matches now and failed to score, i hope a replacemnt for Tevez is found in this window and he is put on the bench for good.# If we had lost today i would not have blames Savic for his mistake but Dzeko fr being a ****ing waste of space. / rant over.
I'd gladly swap him with Pavlyuchenko! I hear where you're all coming from- he hasn't quite justified the enormous price tag much like Mr. Donkey over at Loserpool. I actually think he'd be better suited to our game than yours, as a lone striker in the Adebayor role- he certainly has the strength and height, and knows how to finish when he feels like it. Based on today's match, I think he's just unnecessary in City's grander scale of things: 99.9% of the time a player passing the ball on the deck through the middle (as you tend to do best) will seek out Aguero, Silva, Nasri etc., who are far more technically gifted and simply better with the ball at their feet. Dzeko just seems like a third wheel in a lot of your attacking moves- nothing more than a (big) nuisance to distract opposition defences. Anyways, you still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U. Do us a favour and hammer them all? ta.
He's certainly good enough to play the weaker teams (see Monday's game he won us the 3 points) but he's not consistent enough against the better teams. I still like him though.
