Yes sign him, he's been very solid defensively and looks handy going forward too. He also plays well when Angel is pushed upfield, so a definite asset for the team.

If he is happy, sign him up. Not first choice left or right back as I think this has been one of Angel's best seasons and NT and BD are also better, but has been a good squad player and reliable when called upon.
He also allows a more defensive set up with Angel playing in front of him.

Wether he would be on the bench as much next year is up for debate. NT prove he could handle both flanks well in the Olympics.

I would definitley sign him up - reliable and not stroppy about being in and out of the team. A useful squad player with the europa league next year.

Agreed. No brainer, unless he's asking for stupid wages.....which he may well be come to think of it. Couldn't blame him either, he won't have any trouble finding another club in the prem or abroad....

automatic signing. At worst he's competent cover for both full back positions, thats a valuable thing to have in your squad. He's done well this season, deserves a deal

I would sign him but perhaps ML has lined up someone even better?

I've said on another thread some where, that it would be criminal not to sign this lad, as he offers us so much down the right flank, though he can play on the left too, but I've noticed he is so comfortable in and around the opposition box too, that his play on times has much of the mark of a winger or forward, great little player indeed, and I hope he is with us for many a season to come!.....................<ok>

As been said previous no brainer sign him up - what I can't.understand is why he was left to go as a free agent from his previous club another ugly duckling that grew into a swan :):):)

I seem to recall it was too high wages...and they were in Europe! I think we could afford a short term deal and he was desperate for a club so it worked out.

If his agent pushes too far, he may find himself without a club again, really hope not though.

As I've said before, his positional play needs a lot of work. But he is a busy player, versatile and well worth signing..... on sensible terms.

I remember some dutch fans wondering why we had signed him up in the first place. They weren't impressed. How the worm has turned!
This season he has looked cracking. Keep him I say, maybe a one year deal to see if he repeats his form. If so offer him a longer deal.

I think he's worth a one year contract. We can then see if he's worth a longer one, keeps our options open.
