Just watching MOTD and the commentator said Chelski
will listen to bids for him in the summer.

Would you go for him or would he even come?

He's 33 but I still think he's got a few good seasons in him yet.

Na, getting on now. Best years behind him.
Should've got him when he put us out the UEFA cup with Marseille

His best days are behind him but Torres isn't exactly setting the world on fire. Completely miss kicked a good opportunity today.

  6. If he agreed to play for 30k a week and on a 1 year contract i'd have him, but otherwise..... nah.

He's getting on and probably wouldn't want to come but he's still an excellent player. Surely worth the effort, his experience would deffos benefit the younger players,

Wages would be a massive stumbling block and he isn't getting any younger...

    Perfect role model for Ranger.

We wont sign him. He will go elsewhere for a bigger wage.

He'd never come, why would he? We're not in Europe and we'd never offer him the wages he'd want. Gervniho, Wickam and Pavlyuchenko (for a good price though, obv).

I think he would be a decent signing for us for a couple of seasons - proven goalscorer and unstoppable when in full flow. As people have said, he would want too much in wages and it's unlikely he'd be interested in moving down a level with no European football.

I would happily see the Drog in a Toon shirt... even give him the number 9!

Can't see it ever happening though - I reckon he'll go abroad if he moves at all.

He could still do a job for us but if he did go it'd probably be to the MLS or Middle East on mega money for a couple of seasons.

I still think he'd be quality for another couple of seasons.
    Him and Sturridge next season:wink:

I think Sturridge will be playing alongside Torres at Chelsea next season - he's proved he's got the quality now so they just need Torres to do the same! <laugh>

Drogba - would be ideal for two seasons - can't see him coming up north though!

This, I'd have him in a heartbeat but I doubt he'd play here, probably would even prefer somewhere like Galatasaray so he could still play European football. But he is still PL class, and if he would take 50k a week I'd give him a two year deal. Imagine Ben Arfa playing off Drogba, sounds lethal.

Reminds me of a quote from Tiote "I see in the news about me joining Drogba at Chelsea, why cant he join me here at Newcastle?" <laugh>
