It's hard to have any sympathy for this lad- wouldn't wish an injury on anyone though.

    http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2012/09/09/79310-31796653/?

NEWCASTLE outcast Nile Ranger has made the shock call to turn down a loan move to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday – and now faces up to a month out of action.
Toon striker Ranger was wanted by Dave Jones earlier this month after a successful loan spell at Hillsborough last season, but the forward delayed a decision and the Owls grew frustrated before moving on to other targets.
And the Sunday Sun can reveal his hopes of making any kind of impact this season have been hit by a knee injury that could rule him out for FOUR weeks.
A despairing Alan Pardew has all but ruled out any chance of Ranger returning to first-team action at Newcastle, but the forward still has three-and-a-half years left on his five-year deal.
He is almost certain to be made available for loan when he returns from injury, but Wednesday were the only club to make a firm offer over the summer and Newcastle bosses will be scratching their heads at his decision not to go back.
Ranger could have joined Blackpool last season when the Tangerines had a seven-figure offer for the forward accepted, but he opted to try to fight for his Premier League career.

If he turned down the loan to try to fight for a first team place here then I respect that. He's done a lot of stupid things in the past and it's not too late to turn it around.

Pardew has pretty much said he won't ever play Ranger so why on Earth is he hanging around?!

If he believes he is too good or Wednesday, who are a brilliant club, then after AP's statements I'd expect him to have handed in a transfer request in the hopes he'd be snapped up by someone like Arsenal.

I think plain and simple the lad doesn't want to play football and when there are thousands of kids who'd kill to be in his position, one of Newcastle's top prospects I think it's sickening.

He's like Michael Owen minus the England caps.

He can sod off. I remember when him and Carroll played up front together, how exciting it was.

Carroll winning heads, knocking them down for Ranger, and Ranger just totally causing havok with his strength and immense pace.

Ranger has Santon's pace and Ba's strength, but he just needed to learn to use it. He looked awesome, and I kept on giving the kid chances, but he just kept on acting like a twat for his niggas and wanted to be a gangsta.

He could have been brilliant, but Pardew was right to tell him to go **** himself.

We should've sacked him ages ago when we had the chance, he's going to cost us approximately £2.7m in wages between now and his contract expiring. ****ing little parasite.

Pardew has outright said he will never play for Newcastle again while he is manager (said it at the talk in a few weeks back). He's burned all his bridges with the staff and is burning them with the fans by posting things like "4 more years" in response to people on twitter saying he needs to get a grip and sort himself out...Absolute prick, glad to see the back of him!

Pardew says a lot of things. If (and yes this is a big 'if') Ranger applies himself in training he'll eventually get another shot.

If your going to talk about what the lad has done.
Probably worked rather hard to be a top football as hard as any musician these days. got his head lost on the way.
He might be trying to find it right now. does not look like he has yet.

There is always hope. Perch got it in the neck, ranger i reckon took it the wrong way all these years :)

If he scores this season...... be laughing

Ranger is an idiot who doesn't know how lucky he is. There are thousands of young lads who dream of having the kind of opportunities he has. Meanwhile Ranger is just p***ing his talent away. I have no sympathy for the lad.

All opinion like, but I just can't agree...I had loads of time for him, knew he had a reputation but thought we were offering him a clean slate...We did, then another, then another - he's a wannabe gangster who thinks he's made it already. I'm with Pardew on this one!
