The SPL proposal is utter nonsense (a middle 8 ffs ). The specifics of the SFL proposal are also nonsense but at least has the merits of getting rid of the current stupid system of 2 independent bodies running the leagues. But there is no perfect solution. A bigger league (say 18) = lots of meaningless midtable games, leagues of 10 = boredom of playing same team 4 times a season. Splits are weird and confusing (particularly the SPL's latest suggestion - again: a middle 8? ).
