Ha. If I have a couple of pints before the match I want to go every 5 minutes! If I just have 1 pint and then 1 at half time I'm alright.

I have got a weak bladder!

    Its bizarre.:p

It would, evacuation time is minutes, ground regs are same for new and old builds.

The regs might be the same, but the difference would be in the planning. Something that is already built is not viewed the same.

Building regulations are not retrospective and never have been.

I would be fairly sure you would not be able to Build the Dolman stand in its current form today..

I don't know but when it was built it had the longest steel girder span, so if it moves don't want to be under that ;)

The stand meets very stricts guidelines in what is known as the green guide povided by the football licensing authority. The stand also meets building regulations. The stand was built behind an existing stand and be built in that form again as it originally housed bowling greens etc within.

It meets strict guidelines for an excisting structure. How many grounds do you see now with 2 exits

Asbestos only really in some form stopped totally in buildings since 2000 anything built before that has a risk of it. They still get regs but would never pass any new building regs to be done nowadays. Which would be the same to build a new stand in the same way.

I know what you are saying it does pass the safety regs but if you tried to submit those plans to do it now they would not get through.

Anyway it ain't getting rebuilt so a pointless debate, as when ever it does would mean a new stadium.

Red or dead ...The two exits and evacuation time meets rigorous standards. Amount of rows v aisles x exits all have to be calculated v green guide everything is everything is set in stone mate for old and new builds rules are the same. Ashton gate has lost capacity particularly in the EE because of how high safety rules are set. Saying you cant build something very similar is off the mark, no point building another and you would expect vomitories etc in the design anyway as stadiums have moved on to access services within them e.g catering not bowls.
