No they need to rest after the long hard season they have both had and furthermore why risk getting 2 of our best players injured.
I dont think Shawx has had a good enough season to justify going, but I would take Crouch given that Bent is injured, Defoe isn't playing and Rooney is banned.
Crouch yes I honestly think he has a great chance of being selected. As for Ryan, not a chance IMO sorry I may get slated but if anything, I think this is his worst season since coming to Stoke. I partly blame Pulis for that because Huth has not played alongside him often enough. Cahil is a cert as are J.T. and Ferdinand.
I would take Crouch and I hope Hodgson does pick him. He has rediscovered his scoring touch this season and everyone knows about his England scoring ratio. As for ShawX though he has had a reasonable season for Stoke he hasn't performed to international standard and in fact I think the Ramsey incident has damaged his chances. I think he would have to move to realise his England ambitions, eg to Liverpool
Yes i agree that the ramsey incident may not only damaged his chances but i dont think he as been the same player since that day, and crouch as got to go if he can score goals with our service to him he will bang them in for england has he as already proved.
I think the Ramsey incident pretty much ended his young internationa career, that and playing for Stoke. Obviously if he moved to a clun operating consistently in the top 5/6 he would make the squad, but I also think he would make the squad in any prem team but Stoke. My reason being, that he would play more football rather than just hoof and clear. Cahill was well liked at Bolton, but at the time they were playing some good football wuth the likes of Elmander etc....
NB what on earth are you going on about?? if i have offended you on the short time i have been on here then i apologise
Just trying to get some thoughts on other stoke fans mate did not mean to upset anyone, thought these forums were all about opinions did not think i would get slated for making mine just bcuse i am new. Cheers anyhow ric.
RotterPotter I got your'e PM thanks and i have replied.. NICKY, NO offence but I'm certain Rotter Potter is NOT a WUM, just another Stokie and IMO he's more than welcome.
Crouch has got a good chance. I heard it rumoured that Shawcross is on the list who were asked to play in team GB, so looks like he won't be in the Euros, and as you've all said, hasn't looked as good this year.
Rotter, Many apologies to you, I mistakenly thought that from your initial post that you were a persistant nuisance from the past. I was and am wrong. Sorry again for the offense that I have caused you. All the best Nick
