I think Rodgers can say what he wants, but most will make up their own minds, and it's clear that Brendan Rodgers is looking rather small minded and petty on this, and one can only conclude that it's a personality issue between manager and player!.............

Im with Yankee on this one, love Dobbie but others have done well on their limited appearences and he hasnt, his skills are good at championship level but IMO not in Premier level.

Iposted an article a few moneths ago which was titled "Bucks favourites" or words to that effect and i think its true he favours his own signings, if players are 50/50 in training he is always going to go with his own players, thats human nature but Dobbie has a responsibility to up his game in training, i dont think Buck is going to cut off his nose to spite his face, if the dobster was making a big enough impression im sure he would make the bench.

The other factor to consider is that Moore and Lita have the ability to play wide(they may not be awesome at it) it gives Rodgers more options tactically, dobbie is a "in the hole " player or nothing Moore can play up front ,in the hole or wide, Lita can do the same.

At the end of the day if dobbie doesnt like it he has the option to put in a transfer request in the summer, either way love him or not its whats best for SCFC not whats best for induvidual players.

As mentioned above, he has never been number 1 since he arrived here, unlucky ? i dont know, but he wasnt an automatic choice at Blackpool either and Holloway made comments about him having to "do the things i want l him to do" all things considered im sure most people would love to have his problems, must be awful to get paid 10k a week to sit and watch football in the stands, its not the worst problem in the world thats for sure <ok>

Agree to a degree Norway, but, £10K or not, some player's want to play football. Sinclair took a huge wage cut to play regular football with us, and Dobbs wants to do the same. If I was employed to fix cars but was told to sweep the floors all week, I'd be pissed off, even if I got paid at the end of hte week.

I think the issue with him going out on loan is he might get injured, and to be honest I had a big grin when I read that article. No-one likes sitting on the bench, but it's important we have enough players to cover all eventualities. As Buck said, he's well paid and he's a big boy, he'll get on with it. It can't be nice not playing, but if you commit to a club pre-season realistically it's not unfair to think that even if you're not in the team you wouldn't be looking to get out until the summer?

I still expect Dobbie to get a run of games later on in the season though.

Probably on about 8k a week I'd imagine? Doubt it'd be anything more than that. It's a good wage, and if you've signed a contract with a club, they're under no obligation to either play you or sell you. Could be worse, he could be Carlos Tevez! Now that is a difference of opinion!

I would have thought all players want to play football! Sinclair had to wait until Chelsea were ready to let him go,same with josh, players cant/shouldn't dictate anything, dobbie was happy to sign an extension when he came back from blackpool ,Even though he wasnt first choice here.

Surely if playing meant that much to him he would have decided to secure first team football elsewhere ?
As i said, little bit frustrating for him but 10k a week helps to soften the blow of a bruised ego.

Hopefully we can be safe with games to spare and he can Get on the pitch and show his Stuff, pressure would be off and he can impress the manager and other teams who may fancy him <ok>

Agreed, but as has been said, if he wanted to play that bad drop down a league, join a worse team and take a pay cut. He could've been a hero for a lesser Championship team, so if he can't break into the Swans team I think it'd be harsh to blame Buck solely for excluding him. Personal differences aside, I'm sure if Rodgers thought we would benefit from his inclusion in the starting 11 we'd see him more often.

Depends really. He's made some decisions that seem baffling to some of us, but we're not managers. End of the day, you have to love the one you're with, and seeing as I have no reason to be unhappy with the Swans right now (looking good for staving off relegation, playing amazing football, one of the "darlings of the football world") then unfortunately for Dobbie he's way down on my list of priorities in football right now! If we avoid relegation, Buck will have done his job, regardless of who's played or not.

The strangest team selection for me came at a crossroads to our season & turned out to be the most brilliant . The game after Blackburn against Fulham . Allen was out with a red card , Dyer was out in favor of Routledge . Lita & Moore starting , I thought we were in big troubles & were going to begin to duke it out to stay out of the relegation fight . Well we won & only lost 1 game in the next 7 games after . Dyer was benched for four or so games . Buck brought Dyer back into the fold against the Spurs , and Dyer's been a saluting fool ever since . If we do stay up , & I'm sure we will , the Fulham game will be the one I'll look back at & point to as a crucial but odd starting point to our good fortune till now .

This to me is spot on, and I might be wrong, but isn't there a clause in players contracts, to do with employment description, that if they are not used to play football as employed, they can walk as their contract has been breached, not including injury though, as I say might be wrong, but there is something in the back of my mind on this!......

Lmfao Phil. Won't rush down to watch a game then?

I'm sure if Dobbs was given the choice to sit on the bench or drop a league and play first team football for less money, he'd take the move. He blatantly just wants first team football, and it's ludicrous that he hasn't been given a chance this season.

Alan Curtis is in charge of the reserves, not Colin Pascoe.
