I know it´s the same for all of the teams But September, October, November, All have a fourteen day break, so it seems Like the season doesn´t start till December And either way, playing quite poorly or well Coming off of a win or a loss, It always feels like an awfully long spell Before the next penny is tossed If you´re in form leading up to the break The last thing you need is to stop, And if you´re not, then you can´t wait to make Amends for your previous flop And although it´s great to have players who are Thought highly enough of in their lands, To play for them in places both wide and far Any injuries could spoil our plans I suppose the distraction from normal league days Is good for those who go away, But many just sit and don´t enter the frays Is that beneficial, I pray But it´s hard to know just when else they could be These games on the International chart, So I guess we must accept how annoyingly They dissect our season´s early part. Must admit, I always find them dreadfully infuriating.
I find the most troubling part of International breaks, now we have quite a few of our own men involved for their different countries is the possibility of injury robbing us of their involvement when league hostility restarts!
On a plus side RVW is injured so will not be at risk of being injured(if that makes sense) so two of our strikers will be fine. I'm not saying anymore I don't want to jinx us.
difficult to say whether the break has come at a good time or bad! we can't build on last saturday but at least it gives us a chance to get one or two injured players fit and the atmosphere inside colney when the players reconvene should be a happy one
Well the Swedes have certainly got an important play-off game against Portugal for the World Cup, so that´s Elmander and Olsson on duty, but I´m not sure how many ´friendlies´ there are arranged apart from the England ones, but I guess there´ll be a few others scattered about.
