Delighted that an amicable agreement has been reached between Lambert, Villa and City. We've received the full compensation we should have had all along and Lambert has received his bonus (which the club held back after Villa refused to pay compensation but which he most certainly deserves). Hopefully everyone can move on from this now. Merry Christmas everyone
Nice to tie everything up for the new year. Sad that we parted with all this ill feeling. As I have often said before ALL managers/players are no different to you or I.They are employed to do a job and move on when it suits them. The only people with TRUE feelings for a club are us the SUPPORTERS. Merry Christmas and a Peaceful New Year to you all
Hi bors, excellent news, the Delia Dome can now return to normal. Agreement to settle withour recourse to litigation was the smartplay as CanarySoccer would phrase it. Seasonal tidings to all football followers throughout the United Kingdom. Now to return to the real business, playing football.
Good it was a ridiculous situation in the first place and could of been solved a lot more amicably, but we'll never know what really happened. Time to put it to bed and get on with the season.
Definitely, great news all round Merry Christmas to you lot as well, hope you all have a great one and here's to a fabulous and prosperous 2013
I wouldn't be surprised of Lambert said 'briylunt' in his post-match interview yesterday! But I do think he will need to bring some players in 'to give the lads a hand' over January!
I'm also delighted that this has been settled between the parties involved. I always felt that the refusal by Villa to pay compensation was at the heart of it. Given that City settled a similar amount to Birmingham for Hughton's move straight away (one of the best signings City have ever made!), it seemed miserly of Villa to not do the same. PL certainly deserved his bonus and it's just sad that the acrimony had to happen.
