I sat through it thinking it was obviously shady but not strictly illegal and a lawyer would rip through their evidence, which appeared to happen at the end.

I thought selling a training ground to a supermarket, who'll want to buy it for the potential customers and infrastructure, then moving to a quieter, cheaper place in a green belt made sound economic sense. But then are the facilities improved or cheapened?

We all know football runs on relationships and Fergie's top dog. The LMA is his gang. But personal relationships were around in the old days, too. if a player came to us because he was a mate of a player already with us would we be bothered? If Kenny gave a loan to Didi Hammann or Paul Ince would we expect him to be investigated? Just because Ferguson has a relationship with Steve Bruce and that Joe bloke, doesn't mean Steve Bruce is involved in corruption because he does Fergie a favour with a loaner for a bloke who may be corrupt.

    But I'm no lawyer.

Power corrupts. More money = more corruption. But it's not just football. The whole world changed in the 80s and football went along with it. It had to. There's an old business ethos: 'Expand or die.'

I remember when I was in my teens (70s) I was at the movies all the time. There weren't nearly as many made back then. They were big events. And it seems like there was more variety back then, more originality. Then in the 80s Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer created their High Concept (oh the irony) formula and the conveyer belt of rock soundtracks was born - Beverley Hills Cop, Top Gun, etc etc. Now we've got multiplexes for more movies and Football First for more games.

The movies were like a microcosm of the whole world. It all got shinier and gaudier and about making a buck. It's too late to go back now. We sold our soul for a rock soundtrack.

Clearly all these managers being mentioned are Sir Alex's buddies, that explains why their teams have cost us titles by beating/drawing with us in the past <doh>

    My obsession.
Ferguson is the one that has the obsession with Liverpool.
Man United have an obsession with Liverpool...They sing about Liverpool when they are playing blackburn.
There is two reasons for their obsession. One being that Man Uniteds greatest ever player was a gutless drunk.Liverpools greatest ever player is revered around the world.
Man United have a statue of a former Liverpool skipper outside their ground. Therefore they will remain in Liverpools shadow until they take it down.

This thread wasn't made about Manchester United, this is about the corruption situation as a whole.

    Stay on topic.

Who said ruining them? It begins with 'seems' as well, and the other stuff, well lending players and pulling them back because of something that had nothing to do with their careers or what was best for Manchester United but rather what suited his bitter mood. Its nice ot see Fergie sends players somewhere for his or a cohorts benefit but not te player. Head slap that away why don't you.

You act as you mean to carry on and I reckon he's as dirty as the inner lining of amywinos thong

I have never seen a post from you that hasn't included some sort of dig at Man Utd, even when the article and resulting discussion has nothing to do with them.

You spend more time slagging off Man Utd than you do talking about the club you supposedly support.

Excellent post and i agree with you about the movies as well, todays films spend too long on the special effects and soundtrack's forget to put in any decent dialogue or ideas for example see most of Michael bay's films lol

It has to do with Man United because their ''Ambassador'' Bryan Robson aka ''Captain Crutches'' is involved as is their manager.
If they weren't involved I wouldn't bring the scumbags into it.
