My youngest who is back from Leeds uni and my other half went down to WSM this morning set of at 7:30am no tickets, got in at 11:00am wet and drowned rats come to mind. But it was packed apparently. We British love a show, but to stand and wait for over two hours you gotta be mad. Banksey has brought the crowds to Weston, and some well deserved income. i have fond memories of the Tropicana when i was a kid. Love to see it turned in a huge water park for all to enjoy.
I'd like to go, but I detest crowds - hoping it'll die down once the kids go back to school, but the interest has been so massive I'm not sure even that'd be enough.
Ha ha R could have mistaken it,would i allow my boys in the mem apart from the away end. Youngest is at leeds uni five years in medicine, and the eldest works in the company now. Has a ST since he was five
I was first in today.....bought a ticket online yesterday. Obviously it all depends on your taste, opinions and views; but I thought it was superb. After those with tickets get in they start to let in those without. Never really seemed crowded: I spent over two hours there and could have easily stayed longer....but Glos were playing Hampshire!
When you get there you'll see a queue in the grassed area. Today they were all those without tickets. Make sure you don't waste time queueing behind them; pester and find out where those with tickets are queuing!
I've heard the Welsh are suing Banksy over this - they claim that they invented this years ago - located at Barry Island.
i loved it over there when i was a kid,i remember 1976 when we had the major heatwave, the tar was melting, you could not stand on the sand or tar without it burning you, sooooo hot.
Billy Ocean - red light spells danger Abracadabra - Steve Miller Stevie Wonder - you. can feel it my lover Abba - knowing me knowing you Top 4 from 1976 - happy memories of playing football in the fields at the bottom of 'steps end' Dundry. Followed by roasted potatoes done in foil on a campfire. And CITY in the PREM Happy days indeed - the sunshine never stopped. I remember chew lake drying out so you could see the old Morton road.
I got their at 1.30pm waiting to go in at 2pm, thought the guards were quite funny shouting "no smiling" as you walk through although I was laughing at this point so was told to look up to the camera . Ended up leaving at 5.30pm and thought It was fantastic myself.
