Well I've not posted since our historic win because I thought I'd give some folk the benefit of the doubt with regards to showing a bit of humility after a whole season of complaints, attacks on our Manager and doomsday predictions that we hadn't a hope in hell of winning promotion. Sadly, the people who were constantly engaged in this, instead of holding their hands up and saying "I got it wrong", have dug their heels in and exposed a severe lack of character in the process. I'm genuinely extremely disappointed at the lack of class from those elements within our fan base on our Board. I really did think they'd have a bit more about them.

Firstly, I'm going to leave the *OCD suffering weirdo out of this because he's not all there and he needs medical attention. It would be wrong to pull him apart any further because its clear he's suffering from mental problems and the guy needs help, not abuse.

Now, there was a small group of people who were sticking the boot into Harry and the team from the word go this season and they never let up. It was obvious to me from the beginning that this crowd had absolutely no idea about football and how bad our squad was at the end of last season. They had no idea how difficult it is to bounce back from relegation the first time (only around 25% of Clubs do it), not to mention the other two relegated sides - Wigan & Reading - who were in an infinitely better position than us upon relegation, both failed whereas we succeeded. The turnaround from where we were to where we are now is nothing short of a miracle IMO. The worst dressing room old pro Ryan Nelson ever experienced is now the quintessential band of brothers who stuck together right throughout the season even when everyone (shamefully including our own fans) were salivating at the prospect of their failure and stuck the boot into them every chance they got. Despite all that, they and Harry Redknapp held firm and achieved their objectives. This season will go down as a legendary one and Redknapp has written himself into QPR folklore forever.

To those posters who could see the wood for the trees and never flinched in their belief in this squad and Manager, I salute you. They're too many to name but the likes of Grifter, Queens, Eamon, Gloucester and my old nemesis Willy spring to mind. There are many more too whom I can't recall at this precise moment.

Other than the usual doom-mongers and Harry-haters, there's another crowd whom I can't but hold contempt for. There's a small band of clowns who constantly hark back to the past and want things to return to the "QPR way". We all know what that way was and thank Christ Redknapp and Tony are made of sterner stuff than those romanticised, sentimental halfwits. We've had enough glorious failure in our long and largely pitiful history. These people are losers and again, thank God the Club is headed in a different direction to where those Muppets would take us.

Here's my proposal. If I don't see any of the Apocalyptic Brigade man up and show a bit of humility and acknowledge those who held firm all season, then by this time tomorrow I will commence with what I term "GuritionGreat". I would urge you (you know who you are) to finally admit to your failings because what I will do won't be a pretty sight. Its dreadful that someone is forced to do something like this just to get people to swallow their pride but I've given it three days and there's not an honourable man in sight.

    You have 24 hours.

    * I know I've been asked by some top blokes not to say that about that individual again but having thought about it I realised that this Board has never spared anyone. I've never held back in slating any person on here and many others haven't either so we mustn't start now or the Board is changed forever. I appreciate the guys are just trying to protect this person but there must be no exceptions. This is a Forum for adults and if there's one poster that never stops from morning to night with the same old sh*t on a relentless basis, then they either sling their hook or cop the flak.

(Please do not delete this thread. Allow the people have their say. Thank you.)

    You gauntlet throwing tart Swordsie.

OK. Credit to Redknapp and especially the team, they delivered the objective in the most heart stopping way possible. I am absolutely delighted that we are back playing football with some proper teams. Well done one and all.

Do I like Redknapp? No, but the observant will note that I was pretty clear on this since there was only speculation on him joining us. Do I want him sacked? No, TF is absolutely right, we need stabiity. I would like the coaching team to be freshened up though, and we need a succession plan in place. His name is Paul Clement.

Have I enjoyed watching us play this season? Mostly not, though the spirit and application shown in the last 3 games has helped to erase the memory massively. That, plus a lot of beer.

Do I owe you or any of the other 'faithful' some kind of apology. **** off, what would this place be without conflicting opinions. You of all people.........halfwits my arse.

You are right about the 'harking back' stuff though. I can't speak for before 1972, but the great 'QPR tradition' is based on about 5 seasons in the early-mid 70's and a couple more in the early 80's under Venables. For most of our history with have been very ordinary. BUT.....I will never back down from wanting to see football played as we did in those distant days.

[nice try mate, but too calculated and thought through to hit home. You're better with the spontaneous stuff]

Though Swords has made his point in rather a melodramatic way, he does make a fair point.

Harry certainly tested my patience at one point where I felt we were sliding hopelessly into mid table obscurity so I guess I have to eat a pretty small slice of the old humble pie.

Any takers for a larger portion? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Think you’ve missed the point again Swords.

Warnock led us to the premier league. Redknapp fluked us into the Premier League

Might sound harsh to say it was a ‘fluke’ but bet in play during the game on Saturday had us at 10/1 to win that game.

If you had offered me at the start of the game we would be in a position that we were 10/1 Bet in Play odds to win the game with 20 minutes to go of the play off final there is no way in hell I would have taken that. That is about the same sort of odds you get on Sunderland beating Chelsea away or Norwich beating Liverpool at Anfield. Now it can happen but more often than not it doesn’t happen.

So this season thank **** WE GOT AWAY WITH IT

Charlie was back fit in time for the play offs and had the bottle to drag us through a 50/50 game against Wigan. Had James McClean squeezed it under Green and not missed an open goal follow up then it would have been a very different story.

Deceving to look at history oif other relegated clubs. Look at ourselves with the money invested and quality retained, Green, Onouaha, Barton etc and those brought in for big money or big wages, BAE, Krancjar, Austin Simpson, Morrison etc play offs was the absolute minimum.

Thank **** we pulled through in a final that if that played out again like that 9 times out of 10 we lose it.

That would have been a devastating blow for our club but we got away with it.

Burnley and Leicester proved this year was not a tough league ’this year’. Automatic was the target and slightly more sensible shopping in eg keep Yun and free up BAE’s 40k a week wages to bring in a striker for the inevitable moment that AJ, BZ, or Austin got injured and things could have turned out differently.

While Saturday was the best day of my life, every pundit, player and even fan is always quoted as saying it’s the best way to go up, ‘IF you can guarantee it’.

We finally had a large slice of luck to win through and I’m delighted at that but if we didn’t finally get that long over due bit of luck then we would have been ****ed and really struggling next year (as the loans and short terms deals all leave).

With the quality we had left we were always going to get the playoffs barring a managerial diasater, when there you ‘ve got a one in 4 chance. We got away with it but by luck not by judgement- Could all too easily have been a different story. Automatic was required and when you look at our budget vs Burnley there is no way we should have let them put us in such a risky position as the play offs. Automatic was the requirement

Luckily enough it worked out well

I will let Stan speak for me. I could not have written as eloquently as this.

I must say a real heartfelt thank you to Clint Hill though. His powers of persuasion over the substitutes against Wigan & Derby were vital to our success.

Swords, with respect, who are you (or anyone else), to demand an apology from the doubters? The fact of life is that some will believe and some won't. End of!

Yes agreed. Got to say "disappointed in our fans" is the total opposite of what I was feeling during and after Saturday's game. Our huge turn out at full volume, in full colour, and the great celebrations made me very proud yet again to be a QPR fan.

    So Imaz keeps telling me...

Kerry, have you been drinking the Healy-Rae Coolaid or summat?

"Not one word about the Wembley triumph; the fantastic fight shown;the wonderful turn out from the Rangers fans."

This plonker is jizzing his pants over the very thing I said would happen all along. And he's having a pop at me even though he never had the faith I had?!!

And worse still, you're agreeing with him!

Have a day off Butter head. I suppose its no surprise you're a wee bit dumbed down, what with all those Yanks knocking about your place 12 months of the year. :(

This. And as others have alluded to, we might not have got through the playoffs had 'Arry been allowed to make the decisions instead of Clint Hill!

Bullsh*t. Don't give me that Betty. I wasn't one of the cocks coming on with this @@@@ all season. I was the one who kept you all sane with my positivity.

You think I'm gonna let the other miserable kants who pissed all over us all season away Scot free?
