Typical Newcastle getting right in my tits. Play well against the big teams and then as soon as we come up against a team in the relegation zone, we're ****. Why do we keep doing that?! It happens every single time without fail, and it has done for years.

Frankly, there are two reasons why we didn't lose today:

    1). Krul
    2). The ref

Atkinson was VERY favourable towards us today. I honestly don't blame the Blackpool fans for having a go at him.

The team played very poorly and we didn't deserve a draw. We just have to be very thankful that we got one as it keeps is up there and keeps us above Sunderland for the time being on GD. However, I don't expect that to last very long at all with our upcoming set of games.

    Anyway, to my ratings:

Krul - 8.5 - Very solid performance. He really did save our arses time after time.

Simpson - 6.5 - played decently. Slightly above average, so the score reflects that.

Willo - 5 - A part of the shambles that was our defence today.

Colo - 5.5 - Exceedingly average performance in a below average defence

Enrique - 4 - Very poor today. Picked himself up at times and won the ball back at some crucial times, but he made some awful decisions. If he usually scores around 8, then this must be 4.

Barton - 5 - Should be much better than this, but he played his part.

Nolan - 3.5 - Dire. Slow, barely moved, barely did much really.

Tiote - 5 - He was okay. I would have gave him a 6, but he very nearly got himself sent off with some daft decisions.

Jonas- 5.5 - Made some runs at times, but he went missing for most of the match.

Lovenkrands - 7 - Did what he was supposed to do, and that is score a goal.

Ameobi - 2 - He ****ing sucks man. Lazy, lazy bastard. Just wastes opportunities. He gets a 0.5 because he somehow managed to kick it towards the goal.

Perch - N/A - Honestly didn't see enough of him to know how he was. Anyone?
Ireland - 7 - Looked good. Some tight and accurate passes. Should have had him on sooner
Kuqi - N/A - Did he even get a touch on the ball?

The ref - 8 - If it was a different ref, we could have been 3-1 down or more.
Pardew - 3 - This is the first time I've been pissed off by his decision making. Why bring Ireland on so late to replace bloody Lovenkrands, who was one of the most active players on the pitch and far better than Ameobi? Why replace Nolan with frigging Perch? Where was Ranger and why on earth was Kuqi selected before him?

Poor decisions and he clearly didn't manage to put any fight into the players whatsoever at half time.

I know we got a draw, a point is a point, but we should have lost big style. So lucky.

Agree about Krul and Atkinson keeping us in the game but those ratings are very very generous towards a lot of players.

I'm taking into account that we didn't get hammered and we didn't even get beat. We pulled off a draw. I can think of games much worse where we've been hammered and the players have been deserving of scores much worse (i.e. below 5).

Krul 8 - Saved our skins. Was very good today. Impressive display by the youngster.
Simpson 6 - Not one of his best displays but wasn't as shocking as most. Held his own IMO.
Willo 5 - Average display, looked shaky(how many times have I said that this year?).
Colo 6 - Better than Willo by some degree but not a performance to remember.
Enrique 3 - Shocking today. Did he have Liverpool in his mind? Needs to get his act together for next week.
Barton 3 - Shocking display. I think the Man United game took his toll on him. Disappointing performance in general.
Tiote 6 - Average. Although worked his socks off for the cause and looked more interested than his partner in crime Nolan.
Nolan 2 - **** performance. No real energy, no real mobility, looked somewhat tired in the second half(might have a injury), passing was poor and looked out of his depth at times. I don't want him in the starting line-up next season. Apart from his goals I don't rate him
Guti 7 - Looked good in the first half for some while but run out of gas in the second because of all that defensive work he had to put in. Not his best performance ny any means though.
Shola 2 - **** performance. He was very poor against Man United but today he didn't even look Championship standard at times. Why didn't Pardew put on Ranger/Kuqi on for Shola much earlier?
Loverman 7 - Yes he scored but I thought his general display was very good. Showed good effort, movement and energy. One of the shining lights that's for sure.. why did he get taken off? Ridiculous decision by Pardew.

    Subs :

Ireland 6 - Showed good passing, movement and ability. Looking good and will only improve with more matches. Hopefully he starts over Shola next week.

    Kuqi - N/A.

Pardew 5 - Disappointing. Tactics and subs all wrong. Was looking for the draw after keeping Shola on and moving to a 4411/451. Needs to be a bit more adventurous and brave IMO.

    Here are mine <ok>

Totally agree with this - we were class against Manchester United but were totally 'on the rack' against Blackpool. Quite how the players can look themselves in the mirror after a totally half-arsed effort like that I will never know.

It's so frustrating... but I guess it just comes down to players thinking they're 'big time' and can't motivate themselves against 'lesser' opposition - ironic really as Blackpool totally battered us and looked anything but lesser opposition...<grr>

    Modern footballers... twats.
