Diaby is officially back in Full Training. Let's have a sweepstake on when he'll get injured again. Pick an upcoming game, and if he's injured either during that games, or as a result of that game (i.e. prior to the next game) then you win Simples. The Winner holds the Title of "Ultimate Predictatron" until the close of the season when the Prediction League results are in My reckoning is it'll take him 2 weeks to get back to match fitness, so I reckon IF Arsenal beat Swansea then he'll play in the FA Cup 4th Round on 26th Jan, and be injured after Stoke at home on 2nd Feb - right after the Transfer Window closes. What do you reckon folks?
I buy merch, go to games when I can, and sing my little heart out when I'm there. I think that makes far more impact than a bit of fun on an internet forum. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this will make a grand total of zero impact in any way at all. It's all in the name of fun!! However: Diaby, if by some miracle you're reading this, I sincerely hope you're never injured again, because when you're fit, you're awesome. It's just you're injured so often that I thought we could have some fun with a sweekstake. I didn't mean any offense, so please don't take it as a lack of support. I promise to sing your name at the next game I'm at, provided you're playing, otherwise I'll look stupid singing on my own.
He will come on as a late substitue against Manchester City and promptly limp off imjured and have to be substituted himself, or leave us down to 10 men.
There's a picture of him behind the goal for Podolski's free kick against Southampton earlier in the season
i reckon he won't manage a game, but will get injured in training and not play for the rest of the season.
Will Diaby ever make an impact at Arsenal? In the league he has played an average of less than 15 games a season in 8 years at Arsenal and only over 20 in 2 years. Arteta is a better player don't you think?
Well, Arteta is OK, but I think his position is the one I want to upgrade after we get another wide forward.
Why doesn't he just get one of those hotshot American athletic-rehab specialists. Truth be told Europe is nowhere near in availability of quality coaches that are specialized in remedying physical strength imbalances.
It's great how understanding everyone is, the way people on this are speaking its as if diaby chooses to injure himself. Its not his fault that he is injury prone, it all stemmed from a broken ankle a while back and since then he has been unable to shake his injury worries. As you have seen when he does play both he and the team very dangerous, it's no surprise he's selected for france as soon as he's fit. I'd hope arsenal fans would support a player who i'm certain is dying to get back playing especially after the start he made this season, hopefully he will be back starting for us in a week or two.
I think I agree, although i do like Arteta. But is Diaby the man even if fit? I think he went a couple of seasons fairly fit and did not really make himself a star then.
Diaby is a fantastic player - when he is fit he starts for club and country - and for a player who is out so often that is a big achievment. He is big, powerful, skillfull. A yaya toure type player. If we can get him to a stage where he is able to remain fit (maybe we play him once a week max?) then he will big a huge asset to our team and prove to be one of the top players in the league. It's such a shame he has struggled so much to find fitness. I think as with RVP we will hit a stage where he is fit again and i look forward to it! I'm thinking that with his return to training we will be careful not to over-use him in the second half of the season. With Rosicky/wilshere now fit that should be easier to use him sparingly but to good effect.
