Gone on a 1 month loan to Accrington and could feature this Saturday against Plymouth.

Hadn't seen this posted anywhere so thought I would.

I bet he scores a few and gets a few assists, and their fans rave about him. Then he'll come back to us and be ****e.

I think people are very harsh on Devitt, I would've thought he'd be able to have a pretty decent impact at a League One club.

Hopefully a bit of game time on loan will do him good, we've seen flashes of a decent player in Devitt so will see how this one goes.

Yet he's 21 and we've loaned him to a League Two club for a FIFTH time.

Yeah.. clearly I missed the part where he was absolutely dire.

My only recollections of him are ones of promise and potential, pretty good crosser of the ball, shame about his strength.

I agree he's showed flashes of being a decent player but he usually starts off with a new team (in league 2) pretty well then after about a month he gets dropped and we get him back and the cycle is repeated. He'll go the same way as Will Atkinson.

I reckon given a decent run in the side he could do OK at our level. He needs to get in the gym though, he so lightweight he'll never be able to win a header or a jostle for the ball.

He'll make a good career in League 1 and 2 though as he is now, just because of his technical skills.

It always surprises me why these super skinny players who would clearly benefit from adding a bit of muscle don't get put on bulking programs. Imagine Peter Crouch with more strength, he would be much better for it.

    Accrington Stanley! Who are they?

I've always thought Devitt had something different. Shame it's not really borne fruit yet.

Devitt came on as a sub last saturday BUT played the full 90 mins last night for Accrington in a 2-0 defeat @ Crewe Alexandra.

on the plus side....SONNY BRADLEY (on loan @ Aldershot) played another 90 mins in a 2-0 home Win against Southend Utd. With Southend in the promotion race thats a good effort. Well done Sonny, the lad looks promising. imo.

I like watching Devitt, he's got a lot of talent and I think he looks great going forward, but he is knocked off the ball too easily and despite being 21, I don't think he's managed to head the ball once yet.

Jamie Devitt reminds me of Roy Greenwood (red head winger from BP days years ago) great going forward but hopeless elsewhere and easily knocked off the ball. Devitt needs to bulk up a bit in the summer. JD certainly has potential.

A couple of years ago i would have agreed but we are near the end of the 2nd season out of the prem & the likes of atkinson, Devitt & Cullen have not improved. In fact I think they have declined as players from what i have seen

On Atkinson i agree. Never rated him. He is gone in the summer anyway. Devitt has the tools but has lost his way at the moment. Cullen and Cairney need to shape up or ship out. But Devitt-Cullen-Cairney can be massive players for us if they knuckle down to it. Cairney did not look out of place back in the PL days though.
