I'm recording it and haven't watched any yet, so no spoilers please.

It's strange watching back the Cold War events of the Eighties. Music fashion, top drawer.

Yes. I enjoyed it. I wonder how the hero is going to get out of playing the piano when his finger heals.

Was 99 Red Baloons the only hit in West Germany that year? I heard it in various scenes in the programme.

    That's what I'm watching.

I've been an ear cleaner for twelve years, my father was an ear cleaner and his father before him. It's good to see someone taking so much pride in their work.

I've seen all the walking the Himalayas, missed the start tonight as the Mrs wanted to watch Endeavour. It's a completely bizarre programme as one minute they're in beautiful countryside and the next a town ravaged by warfare and the Taliban.

Those people lying down and standing up every three feet on the pilgrimage were absolutely mental, I hope Shiva was watching.

I think they have got it on a loop!

Germany is somewhere I haven't seen much of, I'd like to go and explore it.

It's a great place to visit, as long as you're not if you're a lone woman in Cologne on New Years Eve.

Actually, I love Cologne, the old town down by the river is great, though not much good to someone who's supposed to avoid alcohol.

I have been to Cologne, Düsseldorf, Baden-Baden, Freiburg. I'm going back to Cologne and Düsseldorf at the end of this month. I'd really like to see Munich and Berlin. I might be going to the Porsche museum in Stuttgart at Easter ;) I'm looking forward to that. I'd love to go and see a football match in Germany too, maybe stick that on the bucket list.

The bringing down of the 'Wall' was a big deal when I was growing up, despite the unification you can still see the difference between East and West - Apparently? Somewhere I have wanted to go for a while now.
