Everyone including me thought that the Premiership was a step too far for Derry, but I think he was quite possibly our best player in both matches played so far. Who needs Scott Parker!

    Shaun Derry for England!

Well why not? He has proved me wrong at every stage so far. I thought it was ridiculous when we signed him (wrong), I didn’t think he’d last the season (wrong), I didn’t think he’d be in our team this season (wrong) and I didn’t think he would cope in the Premier League (wrong, wrong, wrong). So let’s just pick him for England now. He has now replaced Gareth Ainsworth as the heartbeat of our team, and I can think of no higher praise.

Derry was one of the players I 100% knew would do well in the Premier League.

I certainly have never doubted him nor the team and so proud they have shown the premier league they can play and away after a heavy loss
I am sure it will get better still as you could sense the confidence growing again ... Derry starts that

Derry is as honest a pro as you will find which makes him a huge favourite with us fans. Made some vital interceptions, blocks, tackles again today as we have become so used to with him.

Every team needs a midfield generaland Derry is it personified. Arsenal are in dire straights as they lack the likes of Derry and have done since viera left them. The heartbeat of the team is Derry

Agree with all the above. He seemed to be still moving well after 90 mins. Obviously we cannot play him for 90 mins every weekend though. He will need to be rested. With his all action style of play he will pick up injuries, suspensions etc etc. We need another top central midfielder to add to Derry and Faurlin. Faurlin was OK yesterday but did give the ball away easily several times. Parker would be a super addition to our team and squad. I cant believe that some people think we don't need him. He was the best central midfielder in the Prem last year by a country mile. As much as i love Derry and Faurlin, he IS better than both. The three of them would give us cover for injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc etc. Also, as a current international, he would send out the right signals from Loftus Rd that we mean business.

Derry put in a great shift (once again!!). As did many others in the defensive line. Gabs and Connolly both did their bit too.
Well done guys... enjoy the win and let's plan for doubling out points next weekend!!!
