At the end of day when Ipswich last got promoted we finished 5th.Marcus Stewart scored a lot more than Holt and a European spot was secured. Come the 25th anniversary of this achievement I doubt there will be any mass histeria in Ipswich. I guarantee that in the 2037 there will be an open bus topped celebration up the road,and there will be a Grant Holt stand at Carrow Road. It's all about class.
In fairness, I agree with this to an extent - for instance the fact Wes Hoolahan is in our Hall of Fame after some good Championship/League One seasons is embarrassing for me. But times have changed, and a team can't simply break into the big league these days, so for Norwich to be where they are now IS an extraordinary achievement. I think some people forget just what Lambert has done.
Let's be honest here........ The Premier League has been very mediocre this term.A sub standard Manchester United team will win it and a very poor Wolves will go down. Arsenal and Spurs have provided rare pieces of quality in a very forgetable season.
