So some rumours are going around that we have put in a bid for Cardiff's version of Dempsey. Of course I'm talking about Peter Whittingham he can play in all the positions Dempsey can for us. He scored 13 goals last reason for Cardiff. Is this the type of player we should be looking at? He's 28.
He is the type of player we should be looking at, but I don't think Whittingham is the answer. That said, who is?
Before he had his injury last season, Bolton's Lee Chung-Yong would have been someone I'd have looked at as a replacement. Not sure but may be someone like Gary Hooper of Celtic, but question would be could he step up to the EPL.
I watch a lot of Championship football and you can't deny he is one of the best players in the league, but I remain unconvinced he could make the step up, as opposed to someone like Lallana.
