I'd love to sign him. Don't fancy breaking the bank for him, but he'd be a very decent addition without question.

Depends what you consider breaking the bank. I think Fulham would be looking for £8-10m for him.

I don't think Dempsey would thrive at Liverpool though, unless you're about to ship Gerrard off to retirement. Dempsey has a free role at Fulham behind the striker which he will not get at Anfield; I expect he'll be "converted" into a wide player like Kuyt. But don't get me wrong, he'd be a great signing for Liverpool as he's a consummate professional with a very high workrate who contributes a lot of goals from midfield. Just don't think Dalglish could get the best out of him.

Id be more than happy with 8-10mil.

You mention his professionalism and workrate, that's 2 of the main reasons I admire him.

    8-10 definately.

Would be an astute little signing.

Agree with this. A bit like Pienaar at Everton. He's the man there and the team is somewhat set up to get the best out of him, whereas at Spurs he was just a small cog in a big wheel, expected to perform a certain job, which it isn't in his game to do. Dempsey's style is different to Pienaar's, obviously, but the situation could be similar. Although, saying that, he seems to have a bit more about him than Pienaar, and would more likely adapt to new roles and tactics should it be asked of him.

Don't think he'll leave Fulham unless it's for a team in the champions league.

Don't agree. He's not an amazing player and has never expressed that attitude on 'Champions League Football.'

    I think he would go.

You're splitting hairs...the fact is, he is not 22. Also he will be 30 next season.

Yes, me too, we have a massive problem with scoring goals so lets just spend all our money on more players that don't score any ****ing goals.
